Florence Ajimobi: Seyi Makinde Played Politics With My Husband’s Death by jarawa: 12:40am On Jun 29, 2020
The Wife of the former governor of Oyo state, Florence Ajimobi on Sunday attacked the governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan for playing politics with the death of her husband.

She said her husband never had any problem with the state government despite their different political affiliation, but alleged that the state government saw him as their enemy.

The state government had during the time Ajimobi was hospitalised said it extended hands of fellowship to the family of the late governor but they declined. But the wife of the late former governor said it was a lie because she never had any conversation with the state government when her husband was ill.

Florence who spoke when the Deputy Governor led members of Nigeria Governors Forum, led by its chairman, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state to the Oluyole residence of the late Governor, urged Makinde to allow the fear of God guide him in whatever he does.

According to her, she had read many untrue stories on the pages of the newspaper since the demise of her husband. Florence said; “my husband took ill precisely on 27th of May and he was hospitalised. “I read on the papers that he (the governor) claimed that he called me but I didn’t pick. He didn’t call me. Even if he had called me, I never had his number. He should have sent text messages for record purposes.

“The governor of Oyo state never called me. He never signed a condolence message. Never called even when my husband was on sick bed for one month. What politics are you playing, please? “Life is short.

I am a Christian and my husband was a Muslim. We should allow fear of God to guide us in whatever we do. Ajimobi is gone today, I am going to mourn and respect his wishes. That is what I am doing today. Laid him to rest peacefully. I don’t want any controversy.

“Everything I read in the papers, I just swallowed it and I let it go. Please, the press are here, we never had any rift with the governor or the state government. I never dialogue with them and I never confronted them and I never send them a word because I didn’t know it was necessary for me to send official message.

“I didn’t send a message to governor Fayemi, I didn’t send to governor Ganduje and I didn’t send to Governor Sanwolu.

“I didn’t send to anybody. It was all over the social media. They knew my husband was ill. The least anybody can do is to send me a word of encouragement at that time.”

From the way I see it ,Her Excellency should not be angry with anyone over giving her encouragement or coming to sign condolence register because some people find is hard to pretend even when it involves death.
Moreso, the husband was not killed by anyone. He died his death as each man will one day die.

Snap out of it Ex_ excellency undecided

The whole anger channeled towards everyone most esp seyi makinde isn't because of the condolences not rendered.

Like I heard there is a 45 plots land battle between the family and seyi makinde's government in reference to them wanting to make it the burial site for Ajimobi which isn't legally owned and also It's seems because of how fast the sense of importance attached to herself and her family looks withdrawn by everyone.

It seems mouth running is Ajimobi's family demeanor. It runs in the blood.
Wife looks terrible than dead husband.

Modified - @COVIDODO

I'm ultimately certain you type just like you look.

If you tremble with indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine unfortunately you are an ajimobi's fanboy whose myopic loyalty won't let you see your mentor as a very corrupt politician.

" For his final attempt at a cashout Ajimobi and family held up his funeral past Muslim standards in order to force their way into burying him on up to 23,000sqm (48 plots) of government land.

The governor's family reached out to everyone in the upper echelons of yoruba politics to help them make the current governor Seyi Makinde, to release government land which Ajimobi had stolen to allow them bury him in one of them.

The governor said he has already overlooked a lot Of discrepancies of the Ajimobi government and the land which they want has the capability to help the state generate revenue well into the future. He rebuffed the attempts of people like Yemi Osibanjo to convince him to dash the land to the Ajimobi family.

This was only one of the 5 parcels of land that Ajimobi stole which the governor has taken back for their rightful owners; the people of Oyo state.

If they delayed his burial over a piece of land which they want to use his body to claim by the virtue of burying him on it, They are capable of lying about his time of death for whatever political capital they wanted to use his presence to bargain for. religion and culture for their own benefit.
I'm happy his family turned his dead body into a chess piece to be played around for profit. I'm happy they were the ones who disrespected his religion and culture for their own gain.

He lived a megalomaniac lifestyle, he impressed same on his family so it is good irony that his dead body has been used like a game piece to secure a megalomaniac lifestyle for the ones he left behind "

Judging others is easy because it distracts us from the responsibility of judging ourselves. She should just focus on what lies ahead.

Death is inevitable and it brings an end to a life story.
Political rivalry and bitterness shouldn't be extended to death issue.

Makinde owns Ajimobi's family an apology for his failure to condole with the bereaved family

It was the Ajimobis that played politics with the ex governor's death. Using him like a political pawn in the APC crisis, allowing Tinubu's allies to keep quoting him even though he was already dead.
And the Ajimobis hid the true nature of his condition from the world.

This idiot of an ex first lady, was the person that truly played politics with her husband's death.

If he did just leave him to God and move on. "Iku toun pa ojugba eni owe nla loun pa fun ni" Death that is killing our peers is sending a big signal to us. Even if they had issues while he was alive, his death is enough to settle the rift.

Your husband was a great man, he did his best as a governor of the state and all his achievements speak volume, though that never negate the fact he err in some areas but by and large his good deeds far outweighed his misdeeds. May God forvive his sins and grant him eternal rest.

Mrs. Entitled Fool, your corrupt husband played politics with Ayefele and millions of poor, innocent Oyo citizens.

Many of them are less privileged, poor, impoverished, limited access to basic infrastructures and have been sent to their early graves as a result.

May Ojuelegba Thunder fire you and your dead husband in hell where he currently resides. angry

All these because governor did not approve that a litigated property at Agodi GRA to massage your ego.
Madam played to the gallery. You said you were not called to console you, they told you that they called you and not even once, you made another demand that you were not texted. But the Deputy Governor was there in person.
Even you madam, since your husband has died and even on the day you were burying you husband ( on Sunday oo), you can't even honour him my close your family businesses. Supermarket was opened as Ajimobi was being buried.
Uncultured mouth running in the family

Dailytrust tried to package this, the woman snapped at Deputy Governor telling him no one from Oyo Govt called her. Oyo State Deputy told her how they called but she wouldn’t pick up her phone. She later said they could have texted.

She should kindly stfu.
The state governor doesn’t owe her family any visit.
She should wail to tinubu that was using her dead husband’s name for politics.
