where did you see boom?

that is one thing that will make obaseki lose.
people are hungry and complaining.

thank God, he has left for PDP,

all the complaints of people I use to defend for him, will be pass to PDP to defend obaseki failure
When igbinedion was governor people complained that there is hunger, osunbor took over, people still complained of hunger, what about oshiomhole? thesame it. why do u think obaseki's tenure will be different? go and look 4 something.

[quote author=Trumpcard05 post=91176270]The man has achieved a lot. Far more in 4 few years than the stark illiterate tailor. Edo sons and daughters know this too well and that’s why they are standing for & giving him massive support that not even money can buy for the good of their collective future. Let the good works of Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and Philip Shaibu Administration continue, some of which are mentioned below:

1. Internal Revenue Generation (IGR): Rose from N19.1 Billion in 2015 to 23 billion, 25 billion and 27 billion in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively;
2. Civil Service Reforms: The Administration introduced the architecture to achieve a functional public service and institutionalization of a meritocratic and competency-based HRM system, serving also as the structural model for promotion dynamics moderated by ASCON and backed with highly intensive training and retraining programs for state workers;
3. EdoBest, the acronym for “Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation.” This is a revolutionary Basic Education reform initiative that has radically transformed the learning outcomes for over 300,000 pupils across the over 1,500 public primary and junior secondary schools across Edo State;
4. Payment of salaries and pensions – All state workers’ salaries are paid promptly at the end of each month and pensions arrears cleared and paid up to date. Our workers, teachers and pensioners who have given the productive parts of their lives in service to Edo State deserve their compensation as and when due in accordance with international best practices;
5. The Azura-Edo Power Station: The Azura-Edo IPP is an open-cycle gas fired power plant. Construction of the plant began in January 2016 & was completed on the 30th April 2018, six months ahead of schedule (a record achievement for a plant of this size).its presence has spurred the incursion of more power companies into Edo state and also guaranteed other large industries in the state a source for relatively stable power. Unnecessary to state the jobs created in their multiples by this and overall positive outcome for the state’s economy;
6. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium: One of the gems in Edo’s spectacular skyline is the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, which has been renovated and fitted with more sporting facilities, including a canopy cover. Competes favourably with like facilities worldwide and has thus been pencilled to host the U-20 Women’s world cup matches;
7. Massive Urban Renewal: there has been massive construction of roads, reclaiming of gully erosion sites, construction of parks and restoring sanity to public places across the state. So massive & unprecedented that it has earned the Governor the alias “Wake and See Governor” a unique leadership style that abhors unnecessary fanfare commonly associated with the typical Nigerian political rulers. This can only be compared to what obtained in the Old Bendel State, as most of the roads were last worked on 40 years ago;
8. Educational Reforms: for example, the Government Science and Technical College has been remodelled to become a centre of excellence in technical education in the state. It is presently serving as the grooming ground for best-in-town technical experts, who are receiving training and certification that are recognized in any part of the world;
9. Edo Innovation Hub: is cluster for technology innovators and inventors. Commissioned June 14th, 2018. Some of the offerings at the hub includes digital skills, business support services, start-up incubation/business acceleration, mentorship, co-working spaces etc. over 1,000 youths have been trained so far. Organisations with presence at the hub includes Microsoft, Tech4Dev, LinkedIn, Curators University, Hotels.NG, and Siemen’s Impact Hub etc;
10. Edo Production Centre: a novel initiative currently driving Industrialization in Edo State. Providing SME’s and Artisans with 24 hour electricity, it has been widely acknowledged as an international reference point for market development and industry linkage opportunities. Currently steps are being taken to replicate other like centres in Auchi, Irrua and Okpella. Welders, metal fabrication companies, polythene makers, printers, woodwork experts, recyclers, footwear makers amongst many others are currently having a great business time;
11. Benin Enterprise and Industrial Park;
12. CCETC-Ossiomo Power Plant;
13. Emotan Gardens: Providing affordable housing units to indigenes of the state once completed; &
14. Fruitful fight against human trafficking and reclaiming of the human dignity of Edo sons and daughters in agreement with our revered traditions and institutions.[/quote

smiley From my Personal Findings, parts of his achievement:

1. Infrastructural development

Roads (+drainage) - Ugbor-Amagba Road, linking to Sapele Road also to link to Obagie. Project is being carried out by Levant Construction.
Irhirhi road which leads to Okhoromi to Ogbazabon to Obayatan - completed
Ekenhuan Road - Project ongoing
Massive drainage project in Ugiokhuen - Ongoing by Hartland Construction

2. Edo State IGR - Central payment system of taxes, government bills, etc formerly carried out by groups of thugs and agberos who repeatedly extorted traders and business owners.

3. Prompt payment of salaries/pensions.

4. True owners of Landed properties have been able to recover their properties which were grabbed by thugs empowered by previous administrations. With the support of this government property owners have been able to recover their properties following due court processes.

5. In collaboration with the Oba, extortion through ridiculous fines and charges placed on new land owners and developers by multiple community groups have been put in check, thereby promoting security and encouraging investments in the State.

These are just a few of my personal findings as I am carrying out multiple projects in the State presently.

so this is good for an executive governor to campaign with. Even the stadium u 're talking about it was just the roofing he did, den painting, my brother lets open our eyes this man nor fit governor, he is suppose to be an adviser to either a governor or president, his style of leadership is more of human capital development, but Edo state needs infrastructure badly more than anything else

Why are Obaseki Supporters not posting his achievements as reasons for him to be re-elected for the second term?

Any Obaseki or PDP Supporter will do well for his re-election by outlining/ post pictures of his Achievements as Governor in his first term. This will be good for his campaign to the great enlighten people of Edo State.

It won’t make sense to you cos:
a. You are consumed by the blindness your hate for anything good in your life has dealt you.
b. Your level of intelligence/understanding in even questioning & interrogating the real issues when they talk of good governance is quite poor.

Resorting to insults when tryin to prove ur point only exposes you as a low life. I feel sorry for you. Please run along now, you poor thing.

I'm from edo ratty, despite edo being the the state with the 7th highest federal allocation in Nigeria, it's a shame you still count roofing and painting of an already existing stadium as an achievement, what should we go to stella Obasanjo hospital to do ? that a whole governor renovated a hospital or bought few equipment should be celebrated ? generate light for which people ? in the last two years I've spent substantial number of time in Benin city, keffi in nasarawa state, kasoa in ghana, Lafia, makurdi and Abuja and I must confess Benin has the worse electricity situation in all this places I've been to, the ossiomo power project by obaseki is a good move but baba an average edolite wotn benefit much from it because the project supplies light to only public buildings like hospital, house of assembly etc, most projects in AAU are funded by the tetfund, the road construction in ekp are not even up to 1km that a local govt chairman would even count as achievement, and I still don't understand the education reform you are talking about baba, truth is edo educational transformation stopped after the red roof school revolution during the previous administration, only God knows where you see the massive road construction, maybe no be this Benin were I dey, massive constructions are ongoing in states that receives far less allocation and yet you keep celebrating mediocrity here in edo, who celebrates roofing and painting of an already existing stadium these days ?
