My brother, I don't know why you screaming goal right now but I can say it is spot on! Because our young super star, Victor Osimhen has just been crowned The Best African Player in Ligue 1!!!!!

Victor has just won the Marc Vivien Foe Award awarded by RFI in France. cool

So yes!!! It is a Goooaaall for Osimhen and Nigerian football!!! grin

Of the last 10 winners of this awards, only One, Aubameyang, has remained consistent at top level.

4 of them have played for Arsenal.

To be honest, Osimhen is not in good company.

I don't think they will be interested in Aina if they are satisfied with their RB and LB options...

On this thread, he was once tagged a player who would struggle to make it into the Youth sides of English Championship sides not to mention EPL sides.

He was once tagged a lad who might end up like Chrisantus Macaulay.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the lad has risen above all that and now stands today as Africa's finest in Ligue 1. He is now undisputably Africa's Best in the land of the reigning World football Champions.

He is current recipient of the Marc Vivien Foe Award for the Best African Player in Ligue 1.

I present to you a lad who has defied odds and have proven all those demeaning talks wrong and justified the optimism and belief some of us here showed in his talents even when things weren't looking up for him.

His name is Victor James Osimhen... The Monster-Machine cool

It can only get better from here onwards...
his quality was never in doubt... Victor Osihmen...

HYPE or whatever you call it, this guy will be Africa's representative to battle, Mbappe, halland and other Top young striker to rule the world in the coming season, he is only behind mbappe, ben yedder, and tied with almighty NEYMAR for goals in the scoring chart... first season already rolling with the BIG BOYS
for a 21 year old striker, he bagged 20 last season... this season before the break, in a new and much bigger, tougher league, he's bagged 18 already and 4 assist....

my guy has 4 goals in 8 cap for the GREEN WHITE GREEN, abeg i cant find any negative things to write about him.... Or do we have anybody who has something contrary ? i doubt...

Thats that big fat lie. The only person that wasn't given attention was Chuks, hence, everybody was surprised when I said he was gonna make his debut for Villarreal, about 3months before his debut. People started bringing him into discussions after his Villarreal debut because nobody expected that much from him. Even Okonkwo Orji and the boy at Bologna were all rated ahead of chuks.

The guys that were rated(hyped) were Nwakali and Osimhen because they did better at the world cup and easily got better deals in Europe. While Osimhen has lived up to the hype, Nwakali hasn't.

Oga, this is too far na. Look at post-WC, Osimhen was underrated and some wrote him off. In fact, post-AFCON, many expected that it'll be chuks that will achieve the level of success Osimhen has achieved now but today, the test is history. Ask many here and they will agree than Chunks was even called Arjen Robben incarnate

You are funny, you would have called Osimhen a hype if he hadn't lived up to it. Nerdy did the same thing he is doing with every other up and coming kid with Osimhen, thing is the Osimhen lived up to the hype. I remember Icon4s warning us back then to tone down with the hype, that youth football is what it is, you probably weren't here with us then. And i will never forget Icon's statement after we lost to SA in Uyo, he was like "...lost all hope when I saw una osimhen warming up on the sidelines"

What did my post read? I clearly stated Chuks wasn't rated as much as Osimhen until his debut, when you wanna talk about hype, the players that were hyped in here pretty well were Nwakali and Osimhen not Chuks. Post AFCON Chuks wasn't hyped, he was rather praised for his exploits. Like we didnt call Osimhen Drogba and Lewandoski abi?
