If na me, I won't say a word and go back and tell oga that the woman is just a jerk and not serious. No respect, nothing because her and her husband her constituted authority. He called, you didn't pick! Is that anybody's fault

She didn't have to be rude to the deputy, at least, he came in person.

Ajimobi's burial: This wicked lie must stop
The Oyo State Government has strongly denied insinuations that it is responsible for the delay in burying the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who died on Thursday.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the insinuations amounted to a wicked lie.
The statement read: "In view of the intense enquiries from news media organisations regarding the perceived delay in burying the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Oyo State Government wishes to place on record that there is no truth in the rumour making the rounds that the burial is being delayed by the state government.
"The rumour, which is being deliberately spread to give the state government a bad name and to play undue politics with the dead, initially came by the way of social media gossip, which gained traction to attract the attention of traditional media outfits.
"Several media outfits reached out to the Media Office of the Governor of Oyo State to make enquiries on this barefaced lie on Saturday.
"Let it be stated clearly that the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has played no role at all in causing any delay whatsoever regarding the burial of his immediate predecessor, Senator Ajimobi.
"The truth of the matter is that the family, through a proxy, approached the state government and sought approval to bury the late governor on a plot of land at Agodi GRA, which is currently under litigation.
"Incidentally, it was the same former Governor Ajimobi who instituted the legal action.
"Governor Seyi Makinde had no choice than to state the facts as they are to the emissaries and turn down the request.
"Governor Makinde, however, against the established land use rule in Oyo State, gave approval that the family can bury the late governor in his Oluyole Estate residence.
"It is to be noted that the rules guiding land use in Government Reservation Areas (GRA) forbid the burial of bodies in such locations as Oluyole Estate and Agodi GRA.
"Let us also put on record that whereas the family did not follow the laid down protocols in passing information on the sickness and eventual demise of Senator Ajimobi, Governor Makinde overlooked all that and directed the full cooperation of the government with the family on this matter.
"It can only amount to a wicked lie to insinuate that the incumbent government in Oyo State attempted to obstruct the burial of the immediate past governor."
Signed
Taiwo Adisa

Why release the body of someone who died of corona and also allow that person to be buried in a residential property. The state governor should never have allowed his body to be buried there.

Communication gap between the family of deceased and Oyo state government.

Its not any communication gap, its ego that's worrying madam. The man they know is dead and is being treated as an elder statesman but for the wife, its just out of respect. She is being rude and playing emotional politics else, he didn't have to embarrass the deputy. He called but she didn't pick up and he is there in person, she should say what she wants or shutup. Her husband is not the only person that served Oyo state, other have done 35yrs and the husband didnt pay them their pension, dying daily just to access their entitlements and Makinde will even that record she claims her husband holds, Mrs constituted authority...

If one is able to rewind d hand of clock maybe just maybe Ajimobi should not have demolished dat studio, he might have handled d LAUTECH University students demonstration better without reminding them he is d constituted authority. All these are now history but will those still alive and on d path of such likely end learn?. Life is just ephemeral and law of karma has no intention of having an expiring date yet.

U know once they are on that seat, they see the poor as nothing. They tend to forget that nothing lasts for ever.

BABA NO DEY JUSTIFY WRONG ACTIONS ABEG! YOU MEAN SAY SHE NO PICK STRANGE NUMBER SINCEM

What if the phone was switched off? We're the ones assuming it rang and she didn't pick. It was never said in the video. So what if it never even rang? Like I said, a lot of things could have made the call not to go through. And it is not uncommon. You're the one justifying the man here by all means. He should have done what was due on his own side. When you call a bereaved person and they don't pick or the phone is switched off, you drop a message. That has always been the norm.

Nonsense. If you are not a wicked person, you wouldn't be calling such a thing trivial.

Your family members are likely to tell that you are very wicked.

Yeah, life is ephemeral and we shall all die. Ojokan o jokan tisu o dile leyin asun su je. We all have the time as we move closer to it every second. He was a governor who is definitely without err. Ajimobi did more than any governor in Oyo State in recent times. Let us eulogize him on his many great feats for the state, but not dwell on his few missteps. Cast the first stone if you are of no sins.

You are a very senseless human being, a woman is grieving and you expect her to pick every call.

You are not normal at all
You're stupid if she knew she was ignoring calls why accuse the man of not calling her? So grieving took away her senses or what?

You're as stupid and senseless as the Dept Got. Who expect a grieving person to receive every calls in such a state, a sensible person will send text message to register his/her condolence. May be you've never lost someone so dear to you unexpectedly. Let us be reasonable at times.

there is so much bitterness btw the governor and the late former governor. I think Makinde can play more maturity by visiting the family of the bereaved. ajumobi is gone so what is still the fight all about. The woman is just being a woman and that's how women are. Anyone expecting her to act like a man does not understand a woman

Huhun, I won't encourage Seyi Makinde visiting her. If the Deputy's Visit had ended without any drama, the Seyi can. But with this video, abeg leave the woman. After all, Seyi is not Ajimobis political friend or son

An Aid could be in charge of the phone, taking the calls and registering them down as condolences
