That's a good development.
I don't think this project is a good development. It is wasteful, not feasible, and besides a project we cannot afford right now. It is only being done to satisfy the selfish interest of some region. Kaduna refinery failed largely because it was starved of supply by those aggrieved in the south about the state of their exploited communities. Those problems are still there today.

if not insecurity, PMB is doing well in the area of infrastructure which will eventually lead to economic prosperity.

Those project will become abandoned project by the time President Buhari leaves office in 2023.

Buhari did similar to Jonathan when he abandoned EPZ Projects in the Niger delta and many others projects as part of this NORTHERNIZATION AGENDA and 95% and 5% policy.

Politicians come after him will still do the same thing to his constituency.

Construction of roads in the Niger Delta is mission impossible. But laying of pipelines from the interior of Niger Delta to any part of the world is as easy as slicing a banana.

Niger Delta is the spoilt brat of Nigeria, only us have NDDC, 13% derivation, Oil companies sponsored projects,Having the longest boundaries with international sea and yet complain of Unfairness.

Leave Buhari alone and hold your leaders

Lol....laying pipelines from SS to the north is funny and mischievous. They should not forget that the SS will always have control over the oil ... all they'll do is bomb the pipeline from their own side and we'll see how it will flow to the north.

I don't see how that is akin to holding an ace.

Obasanjo and Jonathan's gross nonperformance, especially on infrastructures, will continue to dwarf efforts by successive adminstrations, no matter how gigantic, for perhaps another two or more decades, before we will start feeling far-reaching impacts.

Their stewardships amounted to significant time waste to Nigerians, particularly the 6 years of the Jonathan presidency.

you need to rethink the way you reason. it causing you to have mental degradation. who goes about bombing oil installations that are an economic assets to the nations. This was the major reason Dangote sited his refinery in Lagos and he's gonna build a sub-sea pipeline from the Niger-Delta to his Industrial area. At least he made sure folks like you can't go 30feets deep into waters to blow off his pipeline.

. I am from South East imo state too but seriously these miscreants are spoiling the reputation of the Igbo nation because of cheap China phone.. The make us look like without oil or south south we won't survive.. This is also the reason you see them irrespective of what Jonathan did they keep licking ass instead of telling him the truth in his face.... We are know to be resilient this generation na real lazy youth I won't lie to you.. The think things will just fall at their feet.. I feel sorry for your kind. So the gas being wasted in the Niger delta should not be used for meaningful purposes and generate more fund for the country.

Why have we allowed tribalism to destroy our thinking faculty like this?

What have we done with the excess gas we have in the Niger Delta?

Why would any sane government even transport oil from the coast to an inland landlocked location for refining and then back to the coast for export without any inland pipeline infrastructure for delivery and transportation to other nations in place?

This national quota system has truly destroyed this country. Simple business decisions that we are supposed to be making, we will just be overcomplicating stuffs.

Have you done everything you set out to achieve for yourself, family or community, in life? When will you achieve them? I mean all of them.

Anyway, you do not seem to follow the projects and policies of the current administration.

Too much of fault-picking and unnecessary complains beclouds one of seeing the good in anything.

If I guessed right, you must be Igbo just like myself. I am surprised that you didn't see the good that one of Anambra's and South East's illustrious sons, the owner of Oilserv, is a key player in this massive and landmark project.

It is people like you that go about spreading falsehoods to the effect that the FG frustrates and isn't giving support to business men / entrepreneurs of Igbo extraction, like Chief Cletus Ibeto and Chief Innocent Chukwuma.

Shut up! my post has no ethnic coloration.I made my point as a Nigerian who feels that a geopolitical zone is being favoured than others.

Some peoples fear is that if this happens, they're so fucking useless that they will be left behind! They like things as they are presently where they will be depending on other regions resources (human and natural) to fix up their regions fine while the regions they're leeching off of can rot!

But the northern govt can not be running pipe all the way from the SS to the north for whatever reason. It make absolutely no sense. They own the oil and if the choose to stop the flow to the north, they will and nothing will happen.

You and I, know deeply that God cannot answer such prayer until pipelines of peace, equity justice and of course mineral resources start flowing from North to South instead of pipelines of injustice, terrorists, killers/killings, religious intolerance, nepotism of all kinds, and etc flowing from North to South.
