But SABMiller was no joke - they were offering free beer - buy one get one free - NEVER heard before in Kenya. Eventually, they started offering I don't know Milk Stout beer 2 free beers for 1. This was our time in Campus...we use to take those free Castle beer..but EABL went brutal...they would even hire gangs to destroy Castle bottles...their billboard..it was a brutal war the Boer had not anticipated.Lastly, EABL would refuse to stock any bar that had Castle in their shelves.

And the Boer eventually bowed down...and left. Kenyans celebrated
