I think I already highlighted enough about DANGOTE CEMENT in one of my past article. ...with all due consideration to the duo of SHARE BUYBACK and SHARE CAPITAL CONSOLIDATION(also known as reverse stock split), including possible scenarios for discounting risk and seeking reward.

Let's go back and observe what happened to NAHCO last week.

Every single day of the week, we first saw price dip only to close each day at 2.44

Every single day of last week had a lower wick.

@rabbidoracle lower wicks are indicative of buying pressure abi?

Just a little while and that stock can take off!

RabbiDoracle:

It looks like something that wants to retest the last low of 1.93. With the sector affected by this pandemic, it is much likely it could retest 1.93

But it is a stock to hold for long term.

If there is another low for it, after that it will sprint higher

meshpips:

A few people here got my recommendation to buy NAHCO since almost 2 weeks ago.

I nor get power to dey shout or argue.

Those that value the information I give out will keep receiving it.

Others can be arguing with me.

I go just dey look.

Tvegas:

You like to drag sha. When will NAHCO sell for N5?

6 months?
1 year?
2 years?

Put a timeframe and lets watch together. Stock recommendations without a timeframe is at best Fraudulent and mischievous.

meshpips:

I called a short on GTB when it was still trading around 30 Naira.

...........

Chillax and see.

Shebi GTB own na fluke abi?

NAHCO nko?

Bros, abeg abeg go find something suck to calm you down.

RabbiDoracle:

In my opinion that will not stop the NAHCO stock from falling. It needs to fall first before rising.

The aviation sector is opening up but I am suspecting they want to open regionally. That is those in EU will open up for EU states. So will they extend to Africa? There could be reduced patronage because people are still scared of travelling.

NAHCO closed today at N2.29. Tomorrow is Markdown date.

Tomorrow it will open at N1.99

March 2020 low was N2.00 from investing site.

Sir, kindly re-check your VAP tool.

So Bitcoin, NAHCO are both wrong using your VAP. Remaining your call on Zenith falling to 11+, then 9+.

June 2020 ended with an unexpected decline in my opinion while globally some exchanges must have had positive readings in this same month.

We will see how other months trade.

I'm very optimistic until I see something contrary in the global scene.

Trade/invest safe!

100,000 blocks of Nestle is what again? Over a 100 million naira...

100,000 blocks of Neimeth is what again? How many people here can “Key” into this without being a greater fool? grin

How about 100K units of Fidelity bank? Just N175,000.

The main thing is that once the block volume is achieved, price changes.

In a way he is right, one below average investor can single handedly move the market. It is harder to do with NESTLE.

You can't move market that way. It depends on the news driving the market at that point in time. If the news is bullish, participants will buy up the stocks. Covid19 is causing a rush into health companies. This is a positive news for that sector.

Try and move universal insurance. You will see those that have been trapped for 10 years that want to exit. grin grin

I don’t want to believe anyone here will buy a liquid ZenithBank at 100 naira at the same fundamentals as now because Zenith is ready to sell face masks or something.

Not to talk of an illiquid asset, that a couple of thousands will move down or up.

If you like do all the Jacobian transformations or Laplace transformations you know. It doesn’t change what it is.

You can buy Zenith at N100. N100 is 26 dollar cents o. I hope you are aware.

If JP Morgan wants to merge with Zenith in a bid to expand into Africa, what do you think the cost of Zenith will be? grin grin

I thought a little about it, it will move only if there is a general consensus, that is, majority of the players in the market at that time should agree to higher price point or else it will drop back in the next few bids. undecided

Fidson just secured a 3 year tax holiday. So within these 3yrs, their finance cost and interest payable will drastically reduce.

Also they secured a contract with GSK from 2021 to produce some of their products at their new facility at Ota. So this will add to their bottom line in the long run.

Finally their partnership with O'Hara pharmaceutical will both broaden and increase their market share in the coming years.

I hope this helps

i like to believe that fidson will go up but truth is that fidson shouldn't be paying out dividend now, rather it is meant to keep its profit for uncertainties because looking at other pharmateucals coy, their share price is trading below N2

Their contract can be breached by natural acts which are not within their control and can be cut off, look at chams plc contract with the govt to produce identity cards but it was cut off over night making investors loose billions and cry

so its just for the short time take my money and dividend and run away bro

when shares are bought back, the volume bought would be deleted from the SO and this will increase their EPS . Mccy will add more flesh so sorry for coming in

You can also use buyback to deceive investors as if your EPS is rising.

if they are buying back to deceive investors, trust me the company finances wouldn't be able to handle it so the eps will drop immediately because the company will not have enough funds for production purposes and investment purposes which will
see sales volume reduce and also gross and net profit margin reduce and eps compared to their previous qtr or year
with an increase in bad debt because they will trying to sell more on credit to boost sales.
Their cash flow from operating activities will be in negative and financing activities will be built with either more loans or new issue of shares

That is where TA comes in.

Even if the news is hyper positive, once the stock is in a downtrend, nothing will stop it from falling.

So that is why you must monitor when you should buy. You don't just buy blindly.

Story story!

Most companies in the US used debt to fund share buyback. And that was why Fed is warning that bailout or rescue package money should not be used for buybacks.

If I expect that my revenue will drop and that in turn will affect PAT, I will just buyback as many shares as possible. So that once PAT is released and it is declining compared to the previous quarter/period, the EPS calculations will still give you a higher EPS compared to the previous quarter/period.

Many US banks did it.

You are very correct bro
but in dang cement, he didnt use debt to buy back those shares he bought in january 2020, although he didnt buy much out of the 10% agreed and its normal for dang cement to always issue either commercial papers or bonds arouund this time

so i wouldnt suggest he did it to fund his purchase of buyback

I didn't say he used debt to buyback.

My concern for buyback is the distorting of the EPS even when revenue is falling causing EPS to rise (even if EPS is flat now compared to previous period). This gives investors a false impression that the company is growing.
