Sadiq Umar is another deadly weapon yet to be unleashed in the top 5 league
read Rudiger gave his positive assessment and feedback on the lad from the little
time they spend together in Roma but here our esteemed prof and theorist still thinks he is flop
all because he didn't do well under Gerard Rangers

I don’t usually follow sadiq umar like you guys but I don’t think he is a flop at rangers

How can you flop when you don’t have game time ?

It’s not like he played 7 consecutive games and was awful

seems the transfer is finally coming to fruition.

Napoli ticks all the boxes for me better league, more talented teammates, champions league team, less physically demanding league unlike the EPL. only worries i have are Gattuso's coaching ability.

Osimhen should also know that playing for a club like Napoli that the great Amando Maradona comes with extra pressure very different from that of Lille but let me not get ahead of myself let's wait for the transfer to be confirmed

TheSuperNerd:

From Gianluca Di Marzio on Osimhen transfer latest... (Translated from Italian).

Naples, Osimhen is in the city.

Napoli now tries to put the arrow for Victor Osimhen. The Lille forward, for whom Giuntoli had already given a strong acceleration yesterday , left France with the agent, and is expected today in the city. He will speak with the management of the Azzurri, visit Naples, where he will spend the night, to thoroughly evaluate the possibility of a transfer. De Laurentiis' club insists on bringing to Gattuso's court a promising young forward . These hours could be decisive.

The private flight that brought Osimhen to the city landed in Naples. First contact with the club that is looking for him a lot and that could close the deal. The attacker arrived with the agent. Here is the first photo.

I think Danny was right, Liverpool would have to completely change their attacking system to accommodate a striker like Osimhen. Yes, Firmino isn't that prolific, but he best suits the system.

Sounds Crazy, but Sadiq Umar would be quite successful playing for Liverpool in this current system

You are not crazy
The first thing that struck me about sadiq umars stats are his assist. In fact according to ogn rudiger sais something similar https://www.owngoalnigeria.com/2020/06/30/chelsea-star-rudiger-explains-why-sadiq-umar-will-make-the-difference-for-super-eagles/

Football is nit allways nwcesarilly about who is better but about the formation the player fits into. Sadiq umars creativity might actually be his selling point as few strikers have that.
He might go further than we think because of this quality

yeah that's a concern however I think Osimhen is a confident mentally strong lad. i think he will be able to cope besides Naples is a friendly city. i haven't heard reports of them being racially abusive

Subzero047:

Italian fans are more bold and brazen with racism, I have been actively involved with black lives matter and I can tell you that racism is more or less acceptable in Italy

If he surveys and he thinks it is good for him let him go, but it doesn't sit well with me

D only good thing abt Napoli's move is dt..dey can't afford to bench 70million euro player ,even if he's not clicking from onset..he would b giving enuf time to click...Napoli no b barca or Madrid dt won't mind benching an 80million euro player

But if I av my way...I wish PSG can bid for him to replace d aging cavani smiley..PSG is d best club for osimhen looking by all parameters wink

was inevitable. with the world cup scheduled to be played in december of 2022 the african teams shouldn't suffer burnout. the only snag would be the looming club vs country row

AFCON 2023 remains unchanged
Play AFCON 2022 in January, WC Nov/Dec 2022
Now Guinea host 2023 (not certain what time), January isn't favorable cos of WC events and burn out, June is out cos of the torrential rain fall during that period.

CAF really didn't plan this well

Point of correction, if he needs one,he will sign him...
He has signed a quality goalkeeper, a quality centre back, two quality wingers, some quality midfielders...

You think he won't sign a quality out and out striker if he needs one ?

Folarin to consult parents before making a decision on his international future.

Arsenal strike star Folarin Balogun, 18, was born in New York, is dubbed next Aubameyang but is set to leave Gunners

IT looks like Arsenal wonderkid Folarin Balogun is set to leave the Gunners for pastures new.
The New York-born striker, recognised as one of the academy's top talents, is reportedly stalling on a new contract and wants to leave the club on a free transfer for a new challenge, after failing to break into Mikel Arteta's first team.

Balogun moved to England at the age of two and his family settled in London.

He played in Sunday league football for Aldersbrook in Essex, and even had a trial with Tottenham.
But he decided to join Arsenal when he was 10 and rose through the ranks with the Gunners.
Simply put, he is a goalscoring machine, who has struck 10 goals in 15 Premier League games in Premier League 2 for Arsenal's Under-23s.
Such a prolific record would, naturally, see some Emirates fans comparing the speedy striker to their first-team superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
And they wouldn't be the only ones.

BAL GAME
"I am the sort of striker that likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender and make runs behind them, similar to the way that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays," Balogun told Arsenal.com.
Aubameyang has given the star his backing, too.
Last season's joint top-scorer in the Premier League responded to a profile of Balogun by saying: "This young boy is [fire emoji]".
Arteta has a deep chest of young jewels to choose from over the next few years.

Freddie Ljungberg, assistant coach and former head of academy, knows full well the extent of talent in Arsenal's youth ranks.
He has helped progress and promote, with Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock starring in the first team in the past few seasons.
But Balogun has seen his path into the first team blocked by the likes of Aubameyang, Lacazette, and now Nketiah, who has been getting a run of games under Arteta.

"I do a lot of work in training trying to improve and develop different ways of finishing so that when the chance comes, I’m ready to use whichever option is best," Balogun said.

"It also helps to keep defenders guessing. As the standard of the teams in which you play rises, you get less and less time and fewer opportunities on the ball.

THREE-WAY FIGHT
"This is what drives me to be as efficient as possible in front of goal."

While Balogun waits for his opportunity at club level, he has a choice to make of his own when it comes to the national team.

He has already represented England at youth level, in the 2018 European Championships, but has two other options.

"I was born in New York, so can play for the USA," he said.

"My parents were born in Nigeria and I have been in England since I was two years old, so I can play for both those countries too!

"I have several youth caps playing for England and I enjoy their style of play which is similar to Arsenal’s.

"I will be discussing matters with my parents and will then decide."

His curtain call awaits.

Nigeria's World Cup 2018 home kit ranked 50 in ESPN's all-time top 101 kits

Seasons worn: World Cup 2018
Notable players in this kit: John Obi Mikel (pictured), Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa

Easily the most popular shirt at the 2018 World Cup. Released in January 2018, Nike dubbed the kit a "subtle homage to Nigeria's '94 shirt." It was an instant hit with 3 million people preordering it. Despite the hype, Nigeria failed to make it out of their group in Russia.

Wolves will make it to the Europa league

Man united should watch their back because nuno boys have won their 3 epl games since the resumption of the league

If Leicester no take care they will drop down also

If Leicester can finish in the top 6 that is an achievement. The EPL is not a sprint but hard fought marathon, in which every game counts.

This is where the quality and depth of your squad will make the difference, Leicester don't have quality depth in thier squad.

The games are coming in hard and fast you must rotate. That's why l see Leicester finishing 6th.

Apkogume (nope not better than what we have )
Eze( the hype on this dude he might later flop)
Victor and ighalo( nope they've both paid their dues and they're legend make them rest (

Eze has been consistently improving for the past three seasons. He is the best player in the Championship.

Very few of any of our players currently have that accolade in thier respective league.

If Etebo who was anonymous in the Championship can leave for Getafe and become first team quality.

And you think Eze will flop.

Stop saying they have paid their dues and they should rest

They retired because of non football reasons.

Otherwise currently IGHALO is the best striker we have no contest. And nobody is clearly better than V.M.

Liverpool doesn't have a standout striker.. but firmirno and origi are all makeshift strikers.

If not for ighalo, manutd too sure needs a striker as well.

Even Everton and wolves to some point could have been a better deal

None if these clubs will guarantee him as the first choice striker. He will not bench Raul or Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison.

I am sure people will say l am downgrading him.

The EPL is not French league one there is a big gap.
