He did not have a great game but the endeavor was there.

One thing he does well is that he frees up the by-line for Shaw to overlap.
Atleast a positive, he's been kind of passive since project restart.

Good game overall.

Rashford needs to gain his confidence back ASAP( I want to believe that’s what it is). He’s an eyesore at the moment. He slows our attack than matic.
His form is that bad eh..

Three points. Fight for top 4 stoll on. But I am not yet convinced that the dou of Pogba and Matic are our best combination midfield. They willwl in certain matches, but not sure they would have done as good as what with saw with Fred and Matic/McTominay before the break. I am not saying those ones are better, but I will be watching for more combination of midfielders in different situations.

How many 'high tempo' teams do we have in the league? Maybe 4 or 5 at most. Real Madrid's midfield would sometimes struggle against Barcelona and Atletico, but they would eviscerate other teams with so much ease. Matic- Pogba- Bruno midfield combination may not perform at 100% against few sides, but they would surely do well against almost all the small teams which we've found difficult to break down all season.

I will admit Pogba is suspect at ball recoveries, tackles and interception, but Kroos, Modric, Xavi, Iniesta, DeBruyne are CMs who were never known for any of such defensive qualities.

I want to ask you what kind of United team do you want? Do you prefer a 'compact', defensively solid team that finds it hard to break down opponents or do you want a United team that is feared because of the creativity and firepower and general quality of the team. We need to move from the Mourinho years, don't you think?

good win, let's hope for another against Bournemouth. these postulations no necessary.

Exactly, just one game at a time. I expect the coach to know Mn to tinker things up in-game if need be. But this team is dominant enough to dispatch 80% of the small teams in the league- which has been our Achilles' heel all season.

I know I've always maintained we should focus on ourselves and our games, but I can't help but hope for a 'positive' result from this evening's EPL games. I hope either of Chelsea or Leicester will drop points, I'll even take a draw from either or both.
Our window for Top 4 keeps getting smaller with each gameweek abeg, make miracle happen today as per new month.

Seeing that I am one of the biggest critic of Wan-Bissaka here, it is only fair that I applaud for his contribution to our attack in the past few games.

Elampiro, I hope you can see the effect of a good supporting cast? Shaw is bombing forward as is Wan-Bissaka and you have Bruno and Pogba pushing high up the pitch to good effect. Maguire and Lindelof occupy the DM position when we attack not like in time past where they all sit back waiting for our strikers to do all the work.

It goes back to my initial arguments that the full backs were not the issues. Our major issue was the number 10, and the other forwards.

Until we play many matches before we know. Matic naturally gets weak as the season progress. The high tempo teams are more in the EPL. Let us just wait and see what happens

The fullbacks had at least 2 assists in our last 2 EPL games and created a host of chances. It’s part of the problem.

The number 10 position, the 'hole' was our major issue. This I said before. Then the other attackers who were meant to be creating. We used Perreira or Lingard or Mata in the number 10 and they had their individual shortcomings. We played James and Lingard/Mata/Pereira along behind Rashford. The only time we scratched something good out was when both Martial and Rashford were fit together, and when McTominay was fit to pair Fred. Martial and Matic were mostly injured.

But here some put the blame in the wrong places. Today they blamed the fullbacks. Tomotrow it is midfielders. Next tomorrow it is defence. Whereas the issue was the AM (10), AMR, and sometimes AML.

It's gives me joy that shekpites are so salty about this our team and were only getting better.. one of their supporters posted this on their subreddit

" Their [United] fans are really the worst, overrating every one of their players and saying that signing a decent defender with a head the shape of a Minecraft block for 85m is a good deal." Lmao

We are above Wolves, I care less about them. Our remaining matches are Bournemouth, West ham, palace, Villa, Southampton and Leicester. We should clear these matches on current form, and wolves will definitely drop points before their final game versus Chelsea. That City match chelsea won really changed things, but not as if chelsea cannot be caught, a slight mistake and we are there.

Mark my word, we will Win all our remaining matches, and we will make top 4.

Forget that thing. They are playing same way as they used to. They are being provided better options with more quality movements. They do not always have to cross as before. Now they have an option of crossing and passing to someone in the box.

The whole team has been playing better. The availability of Martial and Rashford same time, McTominay returned from injury, Matic returned. All at the time Fred was playing his best football. Then Bruno arrived.

Matic can give you a fantastic half a season and that is about 22/38 EPL games, he did it for Chelsea in 14/15 and 16/17 title winning seasons and did it for us in 17/18 season when we finish 2nd. It's very clear that whenever Matic is in form the team wins lots of matches. He is 32 now, and I bet we will get 2 to 3 more good seasons off him. When you win matches and stay at the driving seat it give you confidence and you can manage the rest of the season from there with other player
I remembered early before the start of this season, I suggested we keep Matic, many wanted to lynch me and some were laughing at me. Lol

When you midfielders are good on the ball, you concede less goals because the opposition will not have enough of the ball to hurt your defence

Whether you'll like to admit it or not, our fullbacks have improved their attacking play in the final third. It's visible to the blind.

Everyone knows I was the number 1 defender of Matic and I was called names. But what I am saying is that Fred is not irrelevant now because of Matic. I also stayed behind Bissaka.

Also, I was only one of the few who never wanted Ole out.

Luke Shaw, zero Assists in the league.

The truth is they always played this way, only the whole team messed everyone up. Even Maguire was called useless few weeks back.

Football is not Tennis..

If you have at least six to seven A/B grade players in your starting 11...........that's good enough
