Check the price. It's better they give a standard & durable micro USB port than a substandard type C port. It even seems to be cheaper than Redmi 8 sef.

Take it from me, the redmi 9A and 9c are not worth your money.
Get the redmi 8A instead if an entry level xiaomi device is what you want.
If you can go a bit higher, go for the redmi 9.
Now, all these is pending that the redmi 9a/9c are coming with usb type b charging port.

Seems Xiaomi has sworn to never use a fingerprint scanner on its entry level phones, I can overlook the micro USB port but no fingerprint on a phone close to 100$ is a turn off, my opinion though.

not necessarily. Coz even the type C ports differ. The kind on Type C port on flagships is not the same as that on the cheap phones. In fact in some cases the micro USB can give you faster charging depending on how the manufacturer designs the charging system. Data transfer rate also depends greatly on the type of storage chips used, not just the usb port.

I know about the charging system design and I also know that data transfer rates can be affected by the type of storage but in general, the USB type C is an upgrade. It surpasses the micro USB when placed on the same parameters

Seems the decision to go with with a miccro USB type B is to keep the costs down. Given that the 9c is a major upgrade over the 8a in every way, at $100 I see no reason to complain.

Fingerprint or not it's better than transsion though xiaomi want to over take transsion by all means

It's type C

But I won't be impressed if it turns out to be type b

But after all said and done..

It still surpasses tecno spark 5, camon 15, puovior 4, infinix s5.

No. The 9a doesn't have the FP scanner but the 9c does. I think for those on really tight budgets the 9c would be an upgrade over the 8a or 7a. The 9a is the barebones device for those needing a secondary phone or first smartphone owners.

The 9c should be your target device. At $100 or 39k, it should have a price tag of less than 50k Naira when it's launched in Nigeria.

P35 and G25 should be on par in benchmarks but the HyperEngine for gaming will see it perform better in games.

The G35 post around 110k on Antutu. We'll have to see early reviews to see how they perform in the real world.
