Komolafeboy: Most likely there will be a rush when VAC opens. Since March when they suspended activities you can imagine the buildup of applicants who have been submitting online applications without being able to do biometrics, as well as those who have been waiting because they prefer to do paper applications. Trust Nigerian factor a lot of people will have made such payment as your agent is asking for to ensure their space. And no. Once you have paid for biometrics ordinarily you don’t need to pay any extra but given the special circumstances that’s why your guy is asking you to pay. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Luckymama: 3:22am On Jul 01, 2020 |
Komolafeboy: Sending a web form I think depends on how important the document is. For instance if it is a critical document e.g proof of your finances or your SOP then you should send a web form. As for police clearance it is not one of the compulsory documents for student visa. I don’t think sending a web form is a sign of desperation. And I don’t think the VO will request further documents if you omitted an important document. They will just evaluate your application based on your documents and if something critical was omitted then they reject the application. So if you feel the documents omitted are critical to your application then send a web form. In your case especially since you don’t have much time as your resumption is sept, I would send a web form of any important document I have now so as not to cause any delays 4 Likes |

dommakavelli: In view of the attachment, I can't see where they mentioned Car ownership to be an economic tie, level of establishment or property for PA study visa application. From the wisdom of my experiences no visa officer will consider car ownership as a positive assessment in analysing the overall admissibilty of an applicant for studies in Canada. I will not go back and forth on this matter. Mine is to advise prospective applicants for free. It's the discretion of the applicant to implement the advices given or do what they believe would work for them. It will end in praise. 3 Likes |

Thanks, @luckymama I appreciate your contribution. It would be a really a tough one leaving my kids behind. Yea I know people who applied with maybe one or two of their kids and left the others with their spouse. The challenge for me is that my spouse is always travelling so leaving my kids back would mean leaving them with others. It's just quite confusing. Luckymama: |

My own car isn't a liability. Hope you'll call your phone a liability as well or even children, siblings. Some families aren't even in talking terms, yet people claim them, how much more a high value property that you personally own. By stating that my car will be leased out in my absence makes it even an asset. You must not add car to your application but I've asked my question, have received all opinions and will add it to mine especially because it is not counter productive, so what's my loss? Absolutely nothing eightyeight: 1 Like |

Thank you for your response to my enquiry. I appreciate it. What I believe Dom means is that a personal ownership of a car shows some form of economic stability in the resident country, even if it may not by interpreted as home tie. If attaching its documents to prove and even projecting it as a source of income in view, won't adversely affect an application, then I think it's ok to add it. I didn't even know that car docs can be added until I read uploaded documents from previous threads and thought to ask what it aimed at. Frankrobbn1: |

Jermaineayo:Try other bank's ATM card (Master Card / Visa Card) A practical scenario, an Applicant trying to pay With POLARIS BANK ATM Card (MasterCard) but Transaction was Declined He used an ECOBANK ATM Card (MASTERCard) and the Transaction got approved instantaneously So u can try any of ECOBANK & STANBIC IBTC ATM card (VISA or Master Card). Note: All other banks can work, this response is jz based on the encounter an Applicant had jz like u And make sure u av at least #75K in that account (Exchange Rate wahala cos u are paying from Nigeria) 1 Like |

Pee2Jay9: Lol. You people always bring sentiments to everything. A car continues to loose value as soon as it is driven off a car lot. You are saying you will lease it out to generate income. If the car can generate income without you being present in the country, why should the visa officer believe it will bring you back when your presence isn't really needed? Also remember irrespective of what immigration laws or rules states, The visa officer has full discretion over an application. 3 Likes |

The bolded is the only correct thing you've said on this matter and I'm sure that you're not the VO so allow him to decide. U should read to understand rather than to just respond. Whether the car is a liability or asset is up to personal opinion and thus, not a fact. And then again, will attaching it make me not get the visa? I'm sure the answer is No. Then finally, u didn't respond to my enquiry o but chose to attack people that kindly did.. 88, u're not doing well eightyeight: |
