No o..... His eye for goal is second to none. Only Vardy has his shot at goal ratio across the whole leagues in England. Boy is good for the future. Euros will be a great platform to unveil his Golden Boot abilities.

Watch as He will tear Bayern Apart and take Chelsea to the next stage.... He's destined for greatness.

The Full Comments of Rohr on Osimhen- Translated from Italian

Interviewed by the editorial staff of Punto Nuovo Sport Show, broadcast on Radio Punto Nuovo, Gernot Rohr, Nigeria's technical adviser/Head Coach, made the following statements about Osimhen

โ€œThe characteristics of Victor Osimhen? Of course, we are talking about a scorer, a player of power and speed. He is a fighter, he never accepts defeat, he always wants to win, even in training matches.

During the last African Cup, he didn't play very much, he had a very important player for Nigeria like Ighalo in front of him. When, however, Ighalo was forced to stop for an injury, Osimhen had his chance. In the period, however, where he was called to elbow with his teammate for the role of single point, Victor fought all week, training hard, but without ever giving problems to me or teammates if he remained on the bench.

Victor has a great player mentality. And often, in our chats, I advised him to take an important step and go to a level club, where he can find the right space to play continuously and grow. He is a guy who loves to work hard and who needs to be in constant competition. I hope Victor talks about it with Gattuso and can then find the right role within the Naples project.
Victor, the Drogba of the future? I don't know, it's an important comparison, but I don't rule it out.
He has everything he needs to become a player of that level.
Victor is someone who always wants to grow and improve, technically and tactically. Then he is a smart boy, intelligent and I repeat: he has everything it takes to get to the level of Didier Drogba.
Racism issues? I know there are in Italy, but as there are also in other countries. When he hits there too, all the fans will cheer him up and be happy with Victor. The Italian championship is a championship that I follow, there are some of our players at Udinese, there is Ola Aina at Turin and there are also other players in Serie B.
Serie A is a prestigious championship. I think Napoli will reveal itself a great chance for Victor and Victor will prove to be a great player for Napoli, if the deal obviously goes through."

But some people in here said Osimhen and Onyekuru were benched at the Afcon due to their attitude.

Btw, so Rohr knew all these traits of Osimhen, yet he kept playing Onauchu ahead of him, and he also kept playing Ighalo even when Ighalo was exhibiting his anywhere-belle-face style?

Very rigid archaic coach, so allergic to innovation

I wonโ€™t take some of you guys serious

The hate for Tammy is just too much just because he refuses to play for naija

I am sure if someone said a super eagles player wonโ€™t cut it at the highest level and he is playing for a big team like Chelsea and he has already scored 13 epl goals this season almost all of you will insult that person

So why negative over Tammy ?

Update

Looks like Osimhen has spent enough time in Naples. He will not be extending his stay as previously discussed after initial plans to return to France today. So he goes with the initial plan... He returns today to France. Final Decision expected between Weekend and Monday.

TheSuperNerd:
Osimhen Transfer Update

Osimhen met with the Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis (ADL) yesterday and from various reports, it went well. He was meant to return to France today before making his final decision but latest reports coming out of Italy right now say he has decided to stay one more night in Naples.

This City is already "sweeting" the Big lad. grin

So many varieties of "latest" flying around but the main thing is to wait for the final decision. So we wait.

Meanwhile, there are a few ways this deal could go.

1. Some sources quote 50million Euros plus Adam Ounas as payment to Lille for Osimhen.

2. Some others quote 60 or 70million euros as straight cash without involving Ounas.

3. Then ofcos, there is the matter of Napoli gunning for Gabriel too as part of a combined 80-100 million euros fee for Osimhen and Gabriel from Lille.

So we wait. It is claimed Osimhen was offered 3million Euros per year + huge sign on fee and then other bonuses.

So yes, we wait. Final decision rests with Osimhen.

They would have to put in a bid first to enter the Osimhen convo. Besides, the presence of Raul Jimenez certainly won't take them into the market for a high yield striker.

If we want to be objective, 14 goals in the premier league is worth at least 20 goals in the farmers' league. grin. He's not featured much in other competitions, so it won't be fair to judge him based on those. The last I checked Osimhen has 13 goals as well. Based solely on this I could say he has been better than Osimhen this year. Most people here are terribly subjective in their submissions. Osimhen has been good this year, but a move to a better league, will create circumstances that will help us better assess his level or decide if he's worth the hype.
