If you say exactly what the problem is you could get free opinion that will help you understand your new car.
You always need to state exactly what happened when the problem started ,if a naija mechanic has worked on it and what he did.

Most times it is the Nigerian mechanic that mess things up or your buyer bought a dead car from the auction.

He bought the car in US as mechanic special, with description : need new engine' when the car arrived, he had to change the engine actually. And then the car refused to start. One electrician put scanner and it threw out ECM on car not compatible. So he bought a new ECM and still the car refused to start.

You dont buy a car that's not 'Nigerian friendly' with a bad motor! Your car's PCM regulates many of its important functions and has a direct impact on whether the replaced engine runs or not! I suspect the part nos don't match or the replacement 'brain box' is also faulty, I'll advise you seek a second hands-on opinion before throwing further parts at it. If you're in Lagos, you know the drill already! If not state your location and the good folks on here can point a competent person your way!

It is not the car that is not friendly, it is Nigerians

.
It was a non running car, but the problem is you did not confirm if the engine was the problem before you proceeded to the swap and your mechanic could have added a Nigerian twist to the saga.

You need a good scanner to tell you was is not working or which signal is not working, will the engine crank, or no start no crank scenario

I agree to everything you said about the OP's mistakes, but take exception to the bolded. My oga, not every Nigerian is dishonest!

I did not mean dishonest, but possibly leave a part of the harness unconnected during engine swap, it is very important to have a good scanner when working with modern cars, a broken wire or ground cannot be seen unless with a scanner
