Kenya has always had a rural-focus to development - because we knew from word go - if we encourage rural-urban migration - with level of our economy - we would end up like Ghana or Nigeria. With huge slumpolis breeding poverty, crime and all ills.

You cannot have 50% urbanization when you're as poor as Nigeria or Ghana. South Africa got there recently. China is just about 50% urbanization despite their level of development now.

Now look at Ghana and Nigeria - huge informal slumpolis - where everyone is trying to escape abroad - otherwise they are hustling as hawkers, small traders and name it.

In reality though, Lagos and Nairobi has potential to outsmart big cities in South Africa.
If Lagos just took one concideration of impelmenting zoning laws and eradicate slums it will be a great city in Africa.
Nairobi should fix its roads and upgrade or eradicate the 2% slums.

Nairobi is already the 6th most dynamic city in the world, we are the capital for multinational organizations e. t. c.

We only have very little to do unlike lagos.
But the best move for Lagos is the initiative for building different city with the same effort will definitely work.

The strength of a currency is it's stability..check the deprecation or appreciation against USD for starters.Japanese yen has many zeros but it's not weak.The zeros don't matter...what matters is currency ability to preserve it's value.The best currency is gold for example..but it's not practical.I don't want to wake up with cedis that loses 1/4 of it's value annually.That me losing 1/4 of my wealth annually
