Q&A: Islamic Guide To Writing Will by Lukgaf(m): 5:20am On Jul 03, 2020 |
"I am a married woman, living with my husband only, and I do not have any children. Praise be to Allah in all circumstances. My parents are both deceased, and I have brothers and sisters who are married. My grandfathers and grandmothers are also deceased. I have uncles and aunts on both my father’s and mother’s sides. I own some gold and silver, and personal belongings such as clothing and books, including the Book of Allah, and my bank account where I receive my monthly pension. I want to write my will, but in a situation such as mine, I do not know how, or who my heirs are. Can I make my husband (may Allah preserve him) the executor of my will? [??]; in other words, can I write it in his name, and can he open it and read it? Because I want to write some other things in addition to the estate, such as things that I cannot tell him right now, like asking him to think well of me if he discovers or hears something after I die, because he complains about my being very quiet, not talking much, and being mysterious. This is because sometimes I hide from him things that I think it is better to hide in order to avoid troubles or problems with other family members, and Allah knows best about my intention. I hope that I have explained my questions well, and that I will have a clear answer from you." Praise be to Allah. https://islamqa.info/en/answers/269124/she-is-asking-how-she-can-write-her-will 21 Likes 2 Shares |

In short for those that couldn't read, NOTHING LIKE WILLING ONE'S PROPERTIES TO HEIR BEFORE ONE'S DEMISE. Islam has defined an outstanding way of how one's properties will be shared after death. All thanks to Allah for the blessings of Islam. Jazzakallahu khayran OP. 12 Likes 1 Share |

My advise for u is dis, first ask ur self if ur husband has been supportive of u,if he is nt d greedy n selfish type, if u re already thinking of writing ur will then u re no longer young, bt if I may ask does ur husband hav other children, if yes including them in ur will bt if nt sit ur husband down talk to him abt ur plans, if u really care abt ur family, den add ur sisters or brothers, it will hurt ur husband more n break is heart if Allah forbids something bad happens to u n he finds out later, it time for u come clean expect u don't trust him den u face ur family 4 Likes 1 Share |

Before you write the will, seek Islamic guidance on how it is done, and please be careful not to fall in the hands of greedy schoolars. Secondly, read this Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated by Muslim: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” So, with regards to this hadith, you need to invest in charity which is called Sadaqah Jariya. When you die since you don't have children to be constantly praying for you, the reward will be coming to you in your grave. A hint is providing source of water for a community (digging a well) I pray you will benefit from Allah's bounties for childless Muslims. 6 Likes |

There is already a defined method of sharing inheritance. Any body can only make a will to bequeath gifts to people and this should be taken out of the wealth before the inheritance is shared. And there is a limit that can be shared as gifts out of the wealth. 2 Likes |

You can give to charity organizations which I thought is the best step. May Allah bless your soul and that if your family as you do so. |

Veryfoolishboy: Muslim will defend it as Allah can never make mistake. Dr zakir naik said it is like BODMAS that one can't apply the verse literally . He claim that many hadith have solved the problem I was like wtf. But the verse is too clear na. Imagine what you have to go through in order to right the mistake made by your god 11 Likes 2 Shares |
