Man you're crazy boer who cannot handle the truth.

GOOGLE -

Durban is approximately 55% of the KwaZulu-Natal GDP, which in turn is approximately 15% of the South African GDP. Thus, in round figures the Maritime Industry in Durban contributes between 1.5 and 2.0 percent of the national GDP.

Let us just recalculate this equation quickly 15% of $370bn X 55% = $30bn nominal GDP for Durban and since I live in SA that's a PPP GDP of $68bn PPP

Nairobi county/ City = 21% of $109bn = GDP nominal of $22.89BN and since you live in Kenya and pay in shillings the GDP PPP for Nairobi city is $43bn

You're using using crazy projection that don't factor COVID-19. South Africa adjusted nominal GDP as of today is 270B. Kenya is down to 95B.

Yes, Joburg is doing so great, it contributes 15% of your country ever declining economical output. We haven't factored the financial sector that is currently being shifted to London.

This year GDP will decline to 270B dollar - nominal - and Joburg will be just what 35B dollar worth of economic output.

Our nominal GDP in 2020 is 370bn................according to the IMF cool

LOL. That was before COVID-19. Please look at the current projection and where the USD-Rand is at. The new figures for South Africa are less than 300B. The sooner you accept the better for you.

I could have used 109B which were we expected Kenya to be - but I have used 95-96 - from high of 98B (2019 Kenya GDP). That is where WE ARE NOW. REALITY 101. COVID-19 has kicked us back to 95B - while we would be looking at 109B at end of this year.

South Africa Nominal GDP as of today - is 270-280B.

And you're expected to get -10 hit

And that my friend will be disaster of 250B.

IMF released April figures as usual and thanks to COVID - last week released other's "official" projections. South Africa will decline by 10%. Now take 2019 figures and adjust by rand depreciation to USD. Next update will happen in October or earlier.

Reality is making you really lose your pretend cool smiley the neanderthal in you is coming out.

And the number of curse words would make Nigerians admire you.

Blame the Rand depreciation to dollar. It had taken 32% - so 27% is a steal. I am being very fair. You know capital is moving out of South Africa to London.

Nominal GDP for idiots - economic growth or decline rate +Currency depreciation or appreciation against USD.

If you end up with 20% rand depreciation and 10% contraction that is NEGATIVE 30% HIT On your NOMINAL GDP.

So we are looking at figures lower than 300B.

If it was to remain 31% and 10% - then you'd be at 200B!

IMF released their report recently - what more IMF report are you waiting. The October World Outlook? We had one in April - and we immediately predicted 270B dollars.

Accept reality.

The rand is not depreciating for nothing. Your job as an investment analyst is being outsourced to London behind your back.

SUFFERInSMILIIN:

Listen you have to understand my Nigerian people most of them are illiterate to the core. Once a Nigerian see in other African country is better than them they believe it is the white people which build that country. Without using their brain that majority of the workforce and Blacks also most of the laborers are also black. Without the black population South Africa and Kenya including other African countries will be nowhere. Why do you think developed countries import a lot of cheap labour from third world countries. Kenya was built by black people South Africa was built by black people. But my Nigerian people cannot understand this because they are illiterate and lazy they cannot work only thing they know how to do vote for a criminal all over the world

Suffering and Smiling you are the only dick and Harry in this forum constituting nuisance. Your father must have being an illiterate lacking the privilege of not sending you and your simblings to school. Your case is like a son that claim he is a bastard. Such a son must be disowned and be thrown into the lagoon if not, he should trace his ancestry home first inorder to know the son of whom he was in the first place. If a son called his father illiterate then he most be a son of an illiterate that is what you are. Go and look for your ancestry home first I know you are a lost son I can read it from your write up. Omo ale.

It just funny that you think currency fluctuation has a Direct impact on gdp growth..... You litterally think if a currency loses 30% to the dollar then so does its nominal gdp!!! grin grin grin grin this is what I find hilarious mate
