The most significant part is always commiting a crime no doubt just like displaying a lavish lifestyle with the proceeds was his the honey pot. Think about this. Hushpuppi has been living a lavish lifestyle for years. Remember that he was in Malaysia for years and he was posing with his illegally gotten wealth all that time, but he wasn't arrested. Why was he arrested now and why is he only being prosecuted for these crimes (what about the crimes that he committed back then?) There are many people that have engaged in fraud and are living a lavish lifestyle, but have not been arrested either because the victims have not complained or the authorities have not been able to trace the crime to them yet. The most significant thing about Hushpippi's arrest is the fact that he committed a crime, the victims complained to the authorities and the authorities were able to trace the crime back to him.
