No news yet to move the market to northern pole, it's only the reality on the ground that is moving the market to the southern pole, and more southern journey is expected this month.

Though the market is bearish but I don’t see stocks falling to levels seen in March this year. I think market is beginning to price the effect of q2 results which presents opportunity to pick up some good stocks at bargain prices for short term capital gain for swing traders or high DY for dividend lovers.

The summary of this message is that the destructive paradigm shift in buharinomics economy cannot last forever, investors should keep faith and trust in the banking sector which is about 30 to 40% undervalued by buharinomics paradigms. (Buhari economic abnormalities)

No doubt Emefiele will go down as one of the worst and inept cbn governor in the annals of history. However, I will advise you focus your energy more on making money from the market regardless of his harsh, unstable and growth stiffening policies.

Please, don't trade on NSE via Chaka except you only buy ''Afolabi units''. Open an account with one of the conventional stockbrokers(e.g Morgan Capital - www.morgancapitalgroup.com) and use Chaka strictly for global stocks.

Why do you say so? Are they slow or something?

The Buharinomics has not only undervalued the banks but also the breweries. I read from a link here where one of the Breweries MD confirmed they pay 35kobo per CL as Excise Duties.

Meaning: Heneiken is 60CL per Bottle, NB PLC will pay 21Naira per Bottle as excise duties that translates to 252Naira per crate as there are 12 bottles in a crate; of course this is excluding VAT. All these go to the govt. This is highly imparting the bottom line of that industry.

I woke Up to my GTBANK dividend alert this morning ,I have been more happy all day. I have also discovered that a good dividend is good for your health,it can elongate your life. I plan reinvesting half of my dividends for the next 6 years in bond market.

I exited the market 13 years ago ,I paid heavy school fees buying junk stocks. What I lost in the market in those years is enough to buy a nice duplex now. Within those years I ran away from anything stock market meanwhile people were making a kill here.

A year ago, I started following the market again. I started researching again. I have read through most of the posts of the gurus on this page.
I started investing again, this time cashflow became my watchword. If a stock can't repay my investment in 10 years its not worth my money.

Special kudos to emmanuelewumi the grandmaster of cashflow investing . The oracle, mcy, ogg, currentprice, Agba, all the jijo masters and crew, all the doomsday prophets, all the kilometre 22 crew grin. May our portfolio continue to swell, may we continue to chop this stock market money together.

The best price depends on your target, i think the first question should be what is your target.

I target stocks that can pay me between 12% to 18% dividend per annum, so I can continue to buy zenith till around N20 to meet my yield target.

If capital appreciation is your goal, study a one year high and low of the stock, study its fundamental , study its 5 years trend. Then you can pick stocks that are closer to the year low. For example if you target 50% return in 1 year, you may pick GTB at N21 and plan to sell at N32. It may get there ,it may not.

One thing i admire about oracle is his tolerance to senseless people that cast stones when market no go the way they expect. I dont think he will always be right, even my pastor who claim to hear from God didnt predict corona virus pandemic in his year 2020 prophesies, does that make him a devil?

Until you pay a financial analyst and still go wrong with his or her predictions or advices, you wont appreciate people like oracle, mercy, onegentleguy, emmenuelelewunmi and the likes who go out of their busy schedules to share knowledge and answer questions selflessly.

Please tell those blind followers ,since na you dey see them, that weeping may endure for a night but Joy comes in the morning.

Try and adopt a strategy.

We are big time dividend hunters. We chase yields while looking out for high price dislocations which would cause us not to hold a stock.

If you are in the market for a quick 10% gain, Yes you could be trapped and you can say what you are saying now.

The message is clear and understood, Oga Rabbi

That quick credit by GTB is really nice.
Just imagine assessing 1 million in less than 2 minutes without collateral and at a good interest rate.
I wish they can increase the maximum tenor to 2 years or more. wink

Why should you take a loan without collateral? What happens to the bank if customers can't pay back the loans?

Things are actually getting better, in the past customers came with collateral that we're twice the size of the loans but the banks declined granting loans to them

It depends on your investment objective; short or long term. If your focus is short term, then you need to set your stop loss price and exit when it gets to that point. However, if long term, you don't have to bother rather accumulate more as it falls because you will be enjoying good dividend income on annual basis and capital appreciation.

Actually the loan is available to those with salary accounts or constant income flow.

They present the stock to you at a 10% marked-up price so it could get filled. I still don't understand the rationale behind that but that is not applicable to global stocks. Imagine buying 1 million units of a stock that my broker's app already marked-up by 10% when I could buy the same share intraday at 10% marked-down price.

As an investor, the entry price is key. It's not just about good fundamentals.
