For OINP, what is most important is that you have the required funds as at the time the application is being submitted. I also got OINP last year and my POF got complete just a month before getting their notification of interest....the rest is history. My advise, dive into the pool now!!!.

Please pardon my ignorance, what amount are we looking out for pof, also can one use streams of investments alongside money from patent?

Hi. Trust you are good. I am planning to go the ACCA route(I have even started studying for the exam. F1)

I noticed the Kaplan text has chapter 4 to 9 missing... Which study text did you use? Any link where I can get soft copy of the Kaplan. Thanks

I used opentuition. Kaplan isn't as comprehensive as opentuition text nd podcast

You can get the study materials on opentuition. I used the text book&the podcast. I studied it myself because I couldn't wait for tutorial centres to take it step by step. The exam last as long as you want it to. I did all three papers in two weeks. It is a walk in exam, computer based and you get result immediately. The exam fee varies tho. Some centres change 35k while some charge 37k and some 40k. But you have to register with acca first&pay about £65 or £75 can't really remember anymore.

Good morning. I sent a PM. Kindly respond. Thanks.

Hello gurus in the house, My crs score alone is 478 and I am about to get married. Is it advised to apply alone then when I receive ITA to include my spouse?

yes scores are frozen after you submit application and add spouse later. If your file wasn't in accra already, there is a high chance it would be transferred there when you add spouse.

What happpens if after I submitted my application, I redo my IELTS to get a better score? Does this mean I will not be able to edit the application?

submitting application happens only after ITA is gotten. Being in the pool is not an application.

Great. You see this is why it is good to claim points as it is, you dont need to mention NYSC. claim the point as your job gan gan. No need saying it was nysc job or npower. We all know nysc is a full time job but it is unfortunate the VO chose this unfortunate stance. NYSC is full time job not even a volunteer one. Its crazy. Just collect reference letter stating that you worked there as a Teacher, or Secretary depending on where you were posted and what you did there. Adding these nysc and npower just too much. Keep it simple. Sorry to the owner, but i know people that claimed and will still claim JE with Nysc. let the person appeal.

It is really sad and unfair. If it's a Nigerian VO, makes it worse and more painful. What sort of unawareness is he or she exhibiting? Damn.

It depends on when you're getting married... You can't be married at ITA and still claim single.. Except you want to postpone your marriage till after ITA... but when is the next FSW draw? we don't know....
If you apply as spouse unaccompanying and add spouse after ITA, your score will be recalculated as married and you'll lose up to 30 points which may likely put your CRS below the cut off for your round and consequently your application will be rejected.

If you get married before ITA, your spouse will need to write IELTS and evaluate his credentials to make up the score... All the best

Hahahahahah @high on Urine.

But guess others planning his route should better avoid using NYSC as work experience to avoid wahala. These guys will just be looking for every reason to bounce someone... Let's not give them that reason.

It is well

[quote author=iammikun post=91348429]Hello guys . I’m a new member here and I need your opinions
Got my Ielts result today. L8.5 R 8.5 W 7.5 S 7.0 . This is going to give me a Crs score of 471 . Although I think I did better than the score they gave me in the speaking aspect & I’m considering requesting for a remark so I can max out and boost my score to 474. Do you guys think I should go for it or just leave it ? Is it possible I get a higher score ? Is it possible they reduce my scores too ? I’d really appreciate several responses . Thanks .[/quote

if you actually served, and you are able to get a reference letter stating your job duties and that you work full time including other necessary details, I don't think there will be issue. Even though the VO decided to be .... He/she noted that the LOE submitted supported his/her claim, hence, maybe the person wasn't able to get reference letter or something is wrong with it. Why the need for LOE?

just my take

There is no issue with the account.

It has not been used in a while and would just have the pof transferred by my dad and the lil money in there which is less than 5k.

I am asking if there would be a problem using such an account

Attaching payslip is not aj IRCC application requirement. What is required is reference letter. Don't go and complicate things when not asked. It is usually AVO that requires as AdR for some, then you can attach it and close mouth, no LOE or long talk. The bank alert inflow doesn't show NYSC, so... And some were paid in their PPAs too. They can attach that alone and forget about allawe alert.
Nobody should abandon their hard earned one year experience. Except you have excess, you can. This case is just one in 100.
