I have nothing to do today. And I like a constructive and educated debate. That is not to say I see the relevance

Let's take it from the top
Yes I studied in German. tongue .it is easy to find out just trace the trend 5- 6 years backward. I'm still using the name.

Structure of course in Germany. Every course in Germany is structured. The debate is the relevance to the german job market. If you can give a proof of how juicy the so-called mechatronics is in the job market , then you would have been helping us all. Than explaining a course content.

I am not looking for the best course to study, and I am sure you have convince our friend that he would get a job after the mechanotronic master.
So I would wish you and who ever are in the field of mechanotronic a fruitful job search in the automobile industry that you have mentioned
Adieu mon Amin

Yes, he would get a job after graduation if he's good. Germany is a country leading in Auto industry. There are so many companies that manufacture car parts.

Mechatronics is exactly what is needed... He can works as an embedded engineer, software engineer(in relations to automotive), mechanical engineer and Electronic Engineer. And moreover Mechatronics is STEM course.

Companies don't usually ask for a field when posting for job ads, they only mention related fields most especially in Germany. They list the skills needed, and if he studied Mechatronics and works a bit on his skills, he can work in any of the hundreds of Automotive industries like Hella, Porsche, Mercedes, Bosch...and so on.

It's like saying Electronic Engineers, Civil Engineers, Software Engineers are not employable in Germany.

Most of the guys that studied Mechatronics in my school even as B.eng already got student jobs from the 4th semesters.

How is that even possible?

TUM Winter application is between May 15 to July 15, and the Winter semester usually starts in October.

How were you able to get AL in March?

And if you did get Admission Letter (AL), is it not your responsibility to follow up and enroll using the guideline provided in the Letter?

I am a Medical Laboratory science student ( graduating hopefully by next year).
Coming across this your comment makes me to reconsider my options in regard to my forthcoming sojourn.
Msc Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, biotechnology , immunology.
Which of the above options do you think is more viable in regards to job opportunity.

Hmmmm.... Not that am doubting anybody ooo. Am not calling anybody a thief oo.

But I wonder what type of costs anybody will be avoiding that will make you loose guard over 4 million to a total stranger. This goes vice versa lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Why intentions maybe right, I know it within me that criminals monitor this thread a lot too.

No matter how genuine it may look, save yourself the stress by going through the bank route and paying the normal fees

If you are sending money to Germany, please and please use access bank. Open a fintiba account. Open access bank Euro domiciliary account. Fund it with Euro. If you dont know how to detect fake or torn Euros, tell the Mallam or BDC guy to follow you into access. Once he funds your account, you transfer the Naira equivalent into his account. Then approach the bank manager or the people incharge of foreign transactions. Tell them you want to send money to Germany. They will give you a form to fill and move the Euro from your account to the designated account number Fintiba gave you. Within 3 days, your money will appear in your account in Germany!

N.B
Access Bank cant send more than a certain amount at a go. You have to transfer the money twice. All these costs less than 20k per transaction when I did my own. I don't know the charges now.

Again, I don't think its advisable to go through GT Bank. During my initial trial, they accepted only 1000 Euros deposit per week. This means it will take you over 10 weeks to fund your dorm account with them.

Whichever way, its far better than entrusting your money to a total stranger. People are VERY MEAN AND HEARTLESS IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. THEY WILL WIPE YOU WITHOUT THINKING TWICE. I CAN BET MY BALLS THAT THESE WIPERS MONITOR THIS FORUM ON DAILY BASIS.

BE SMART AND STOP THINKING HOW TO CUT CORNERS! THANKS.

Before you follow this seemingly cheaper route, ask yourself one question; IS THE RISK WORTH IT?

Thanks. Fellow Newbies let's take note

It is unfortunate and disappointing that u decided to discuss what you don't know...

I didn't want to reply to you and your fellow over your unguarded advise... At least you should have research google if u are not familiar with something before sharing ur opinion....

That you might be in Germany now doesn't mean u know anything... My former company KHS Machine took us as last direct Mechanical employee... After us any mechanical jobs request goes straight for Mechatronics employee... They have stop taking direct machincal... And they are German coy...

I will give you an example...
1. Ur common home appliances like the micro wave... Old type will keep heating until it burnt the food and probably the entire house so u need to monitor it for the desired temperature then turn it off... But now how does it work? U can set ur temperature range and go to bathroom and it will turn itself off at the right temperature.
2. What about ur old manual car compared to the automatic car? Have u ever asked ur self how the car understand high torge gear at the start and then switch to high speed gear when in motion?

There is something called "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" you can consider that the alternative name for Mechatronics.... No equipment in this morndern time is purely mechanical... It incorporate other fields of engineering to make it self operative...

So my friend... How do u handle or repair equipment that is neither mechanial alone nor electrical alone nor electronic alone? Which type of skills and degree do u need to handle them since u can find a part of all this fields fused in one single element?

Finally.... A 4.43 graduate of Mech. Fut MX applied to 7schools in Germany last two yrs I got admission in all the rest 6 except University of Technology Hamburg (TUHH) for MSC. Mechatronics so before u think I got the admission on a plater of Gold or because there is no student for it... Go check...

If u think mechanical, electrical, electronics engineering are good course and are easily employable in the labor market then I want to let u know that Mechatronics Engineering hold 4x the chances and the opportunities of the corners

Find out before u give advise

My post is meant to be an advise to you. I am not looking for a German Visa. You can either listen or ignore me. Whatever you do, we are waiting for you in Germany. I would like to read your experience later

I never said in my post that any of these fields are not employable in Germany. They are all employable as separate disciplines
In my company , I do not know any technician that is a mechanic and an electrician then a computer scientist. An electrician and electronics are ever different as close as they may seem. These fields require 3-4 years training to be employable in Germany. To combine it in a 2years master , makes the master laughable.

We call it facharbeit in Germany. There is no Jack of all trade in germany grin . The university can combine what ever the professor likes. But in the real world. The training is left to the professor to make use of. Companies would send you back to your professor to employ you. Companies are not looking for a mechanoelectrocomputoelectronics. I know a friend who studies geo biology. Combination mostly makes you unemployable in Germany. In this case, he is bearly a geologist and definitely not a biologist. He is nothing to the employer grin

Dont forget that Germany is not Nigeria that calls everyone graduate because they attended a course in the university.
Even the germans, if they study something then later realise that it is useless, they work in restaurant or as helper in factories , thereafter go back to study what is employable. They dont consider themselves graduate but would be rather angry with the university for teaching a useless course.

AND YOU WONDER WHY HE GOT ADMISSION SO EASILY, MAYBE THERE AINT STUDENTS IN GERMANY

These fields are all under biology. Only the research approaches that make the difference of name. But bioinformatics is theoretical and well sorted. Dont misunderstand me, I hardly know anyone who got a job in this field who doesnt have a good command of German language.

I would advise you to choose any. then study real hard , make a 1.0 to a 2.0 grade. This is the Nigeria first class equivalent, then get a PhD position. Or spend half of your time learning German, and whatever grade your come out with, since your have a minimum German level of a b2 , you are more employable than a distinction without german language

Yes u can apply to 3 different institutions. Different application documents to the 3 schools. 3 different Daad forms to the 3 schools. Regarding your second question, you can only apply for the scholarship through the schools as long as you submit the Daad form with your application together with others requirements as stated by each schools. The schools will forward your documents to DAAD. You don't need to make contact with Daad atall. Once you are selected DAAD and the school that grants you admission will contact you. I hope this helps.
Not directed to me. But yeah it helped. I had similar u clarity there.

Pls I was going through the list of courses for daad scholarship. At the top of the pdf I saw next intake 2022. So till 2022 before they take the next scholarship set even if we apply now?

Lastly, I saw the language proficiency section. Any idea if the requirement be waived for Nigerian applicant whose official language is English?

1)If the document you sent are original, you don't need to go the high court for certification. Like me all my document are original and I got a feedback. Most time the university that are free or the school pay uniassist for application fee are always slow. Like Uni Potsdam was a little slow than HHNE, because I pay a fee for HHNE and Uni Potsdam was free, but after few week it was OKAY.

2) Most times those are the document, you can check the school site or talk to the course coordinator. The person will mail you the requirement or refer you to the place on their website.

Oh I see. Original documents doesn't need certification but photocopies require them.

Certify your documents... Don’t ever send original documents.... it’s not guaranteed you will get it back .

1. The intake I guess should be for 2021/2022 session.
2. You are eligible to apply but don't forget you are competing with better candidates
3. The English proficiency waiver depends on the school you are applying to. Some requires English proficiency statement from your university or foreign English test certificate (IELTS) while others only requires the latter.

I believe you saw "recommended German certificate"; if this is the car, then you don't need a German certificate while applying, they will automatically enroll you for German class once given admission. They request this when the language of instruction of your course of study at Deggendorf is English 100%

However, if the language of instruction is "german", what you would see is "German certificate" rather than "recommended German certificate".

My token, if you have German certificate, you have option of going for both German courses and English courses.

However, if you don't, kindly go for 100% English courses. They will request for "recommended English Certificate", upload oylther documents but ignore that, then go to "overview" and click on send after filling "personal info, education and the third one"

Thanks boss for your reply...The course is 100% English but the still sent me a mail to uplaod a German Certificate.

However I'm thinking of sending them mail that I would enroll on a German course as soon as admission is granted. Please is this Okay to send ?
