UN humanitarian coordinator in Nigeria Edward Kallon said both the fatalities and several others who were injured in the attack were on the ground.

“A UN Humanitarian Air Service helicopter was hit by bullets during the attack. No aid workers were on board at the time and crew members are all safe,” Kallon said in a statement.

A UN communication seen by AFP said the aircraft was shot as it approached Damasak and the pilots managed to fly back to regional capital Maiduguri 150 kilometres (90 miles) away.

I wish they could attack more international bodies, maybe that could make other Western countries unleash their Army on Boko Haram, if we keep depending on this political party called Nigeria Army to defeat Boko Haram then we're not being sincere to ourselves.

I still don't even know.

Last time I tried to check it was for the stupid reason that northern women are not supposed to go to school and get educated.

As foolish as this reason and that the almighty Allah has sent them angry

One of the major problems of NIgeria is hypocrisy. Buhari went ahead to threaten northern youths who tried to demand for security, by saying they should thank God that we are in democracy, they kept mum.

When a southerner becomes president, you will see how they will suddenly gain their lost voices.

God bless you bro

The people injured and killed are on the ground - they have nothing to do with the Helicopter in the headline.

While none of those on the helicopter actually got injured.

The Helicopter actually turned back and returned to the headquarters in Maiduguri after it was attacked.

It's all in the post. In fact, check the middle paragraph in your quotation.

Kindly read through don't read to be the first to comment, read to understand quietly and over again.

It said, there those on ground were injured (there are people living and working in damask)not anyone on the aircraft apparently that aircraft came to drop off staffs to damask or pick staffs to maiduguri, that's normal. So they 2 cases are different.

As the time the aircraft was hit by bullets, no one was onboard aside the pilot thankfully he made a detour back to maiduguri.

Edward Kalon of the UN, Boko Haram and people in Nigeria’s apex political offices are fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system.

Nigeria has been economically crippled by the fight.
Southern portions of Nigeria - 99% non Moslem population - need a UN-sponsored REFERENDUM on new countries to emerge from Nigeria, then leave the 12 sharia states in northern Nigeria to have their own country to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system.

Nigeria’s President Buhari said he would not stop until Sharia criminal justice system is used all over Nigeria.

What I understood:

1. BH attack, injured and killed civilian during an attack in Damasak.

2. The helicopter that was hit during the attack had no aid workers on board only the pilot and it crew members was on board.

3. The helicopter was attacked while approaching Damasak, the pilot was able to return safelt to Maiduguri.

Bokohaaris technically defeated boys are upgrading.

Man should hurry up and grant them the amnesty he promised if they helped get him to power and let Nigeria have peace.

But Buhari has been giving many Boko Haram people false amnesty by reintegrating them into Nigeria’s armed forces - thus, systematically converting Nigeria’s armed forces to Boko Haram force.
