sexylassie2:despite sub is at lower rate in Nigeria, Nigerian don't have opportunity to view due to power outrage issues in Nigeria. Others countries that pays higher sub enjoys pay by view privilege while Nigerians don't enjoy so in the nonshell if DSTV can introduce pay as you view then we can pay higher sub but with current power failure issue in Nigeria we can't subscribe for increment in their sub. Thats how thieving MTN said PAYG was impossible until GLO screwed them and exposed their lies. Dstv subs in south africa is way cheaper and during de pandemic they got freebies but over here its increment. Robbers called investors. 3 Likes |

NaijadrivaCars: TSTV that was pirating other people's content? TSTV that was making promises they could not keep? TSTV is the reason why TSTV failed. Government support? They had it. Lai Moh'd was even offering them five year tax relief self. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Lubumbashi: Nigerians want things for free, or want government to control prices. I'm no fan of Obasanjo, but one thing I'm thankful to him for is that he did not listen to those who were calling for price controls in the GSM sector. If he had listened to them, by now we won't have had home internet , among other things. 5 Likes |

Many people don't even realize what is going on here. Buhari's Islamic government has been all out to frustrate and possibly close doing DSTV ever since they started broadcasting Big Brother Naija. That is their real grouse with the company. 1 Like |

Johnholmes:they should leave dstv for increasing money for monthly subscription and monthly scramble of your subscription even without use but it is an abomination to increase Electricity Tariff and price per litre of PMS in nigeria ? You need sense upgrading nothing more.

sexylassie2: I can bet, you don't know the difference between socialism and capitalism, if you'd you won't be calling Buhari's govt that tax everybody socialist I deal with online financial transaction, you know how much my bank deduct because of Firs and CBN target from me? this DSTV and GOTV increase subscription is still act of socialism? Nigeria is poor because this govt is not faithful with their financial policies. they got enough money to turn things around but invested it on the wrong direction just tell them to shoot all Nigerians so that they can be capitalist. nonsense 2 Likes |

sexylassie2:What is this one saying? You must be a homophobic south african or one of their girl friends. Dstv subs in SA is far cheaper than in nigeria and they do PAYG there. Even during de pandemic they gave them freebies over there, but here its increment. That was how mtn said per second billing is impossible until GLO screwed and exposed their lies and robbery. Robbers posing as investors. We wont stop until we screw multichoice totally. |

Lol. Everyone calm down. In 2003 when Govt set out to first break the monopoly of DStv, it requested that d EPL excludes Nigeria from the rest of Africa and treat Nigeria as a continent or a separate entity from the rest of Africa so as to give the then up and coming Hitv a platform to wrestle feathers with DStv. This meant that DStv had to pay first for exclusive rights for EPL in Africa then struggle or battle with Hitv for d rights of Nigeria. After Hitv collapsed, DStv had unfiltered access to the Nigeria rights. Now, with the rising cost of the dollar, Dstv cannot keep up with that model of paying twice for a service and had to increase d price of their bouquet. Despite this, Govt is still trying to break their back and they (DStv) are beginning to think it's best for them to pull out of the EPL Nigeria market. The cost of getting this right is about $350million, the question is can the present Nigerian market easily generate this sum? Me thinks the Govt is trying to promote a company somewhere, more like the hands of Esau but the voice of Jacob. 6 Likes |

If you like bring jstv, bntv, kvtv and other TV, you can't compete with dstv, they have the cash, the infrastructures and management. Nigerians thinks because of our large population it means money. Nigerians are poor, a small country like Monaco few in number but profitable for businesses. I prefer a small market with money than a big market like Nigeria with no cash. 7 Likes |

benji93:Bro you are very right, I may not like the way the Chinese run their biz and treat our pple here, but the majorits of SA people hate Nigerians passion. I schooled there, studied sound and film production even did my internship with AM Dstv. I dicided to let go of Dstv after the recent xenophobic attacks on foreigners, though still have a lot of South Africans as friends. |
