Oh majority are. You can take a survey round other SE states to know what they think about your people. Especially your men. I can run into a truck while avoiding an Anambra man. grin
They are not that bad cheesy
You grew up in different cultural background. We grew up with them and their high handedness don't burger us at all.
We know how to handle them. Unless the lady has low IQ, handling any anambra man especially if you are from anambra shouldn't be a problem cheesy

Anambra men and abia men have the same traits especially ngwa men.

Imo men are cooler. I think it has to do with background.
They grew up( majority) in hostile and competitive background( market zone) so that dominance is ingrained in them. But they are the backbone of igboland. Remove these two and fulani for don overrun igboland. The only reason we are not yet called Islamic state of Nigeria is because of them. By now, your name would have been alhaja pokohanmeed Ada mohammed grin

Ngwa men restrict their attitude to Abia state. From close encounter, Abiriba men are even more venomous than Ngwa men. Ngwa people are just unnecessarily loud and they have number.

Imo men are closely behind Anambra men in supremacist mindset. Mbaise, Mbano, Orlu, Obowo...another dangerous set. However, they also do well to keep their madness inside.

Now to your brothers, never.

No sane human should be handled, they are not carnivores or rottweilers. Respect yourself and the next person, respect their choices and culture. We would all be fine.

Maybe you didn't buy original ogiri. Ogiri is spiritual, the smell is ahhh dunno how to describe it, the taste nkọ inside ọha soup tongue tongue hulala. I even taste mine before adding to the soup grin. I don't buy the already wrapped ogiri, I go for the one they measure aka nke nkonye tongue
When yellow pepper and enough crayfish is added. Ụka agbasa (church dismissed)

Oha soup without akwụ, ede and ogiri is not ọha. Achị, grounded cocoyam, quaker oat should not serve as thickener ooo
I prefer ọha to onugbu

*drops mic*
You're a darling. Correct babe!

Pls where do you get the ogiri nkonye? Will like to know. These tiny ones they wrap #100 doesn't make sense.

what has Anambra got to do with this? funny how you hinge on artificial state creation for safety whenever you are cornered for saying something foolish.

It is not foolish that ogiri is optional. We all know the people that think ogiri is compulsory. Everyone must eat it because they eat it. grin

Oya, come and start entering our pots to add your ogili. Minister of Ogili.

Are people still planting Oha tree? That tree takes a long time to mature and with the demand, it might extinct soon.
Another major problem is that it is not found elsewhere except in SE and does not grow wild unlike Afang (okasi)

We used to have one or two in our compound but now everywhere is concrete. The last one, I warned them not to cut it but they said it was spoiling the concrete.

Who else doesn’t like oha soup with garri?
Poco have you tried it with snails?

I don't like the soup coz the leaf is hard, I expect it to be soft and gentle on the tongue.

the leaf used should be soft and limp such that if you cut it either with your knife or hand, it breaks easily.

if not, discard the leaf. it is not good to use.

thanks for the info. one old woman marked my face the very first day I asked her of ogiri in market. lol. sometimes now if I come shopping food items she will ask me to sit in her shop while her daughter go do the pickings and they always come out great.

my best still remains egusi mostly with bitter leaf but I make the others like pro,.my craving for igbo soup is second to know
Soups we eat are choices e.g., I can stay a yr without cooking equsi.
One of my good friend is married to a Yoruba man. That man can do anything for oha soup. The wife love qbegiri soup no be here. Very funny couple. The wife said she can never make gbegiri like the husband so he is the one who always cook it for them.

You know ncha( that is used to eat ede igbugbu), or abacha anambra?
That is where I love ogiri the best.
Abacha anambra is very different from abacha imo or the popular abacha we see around. I'm not even good in making it though I love it very well especially one that stayed overnight( very weird me)

Lol
I prefer abacha Enugu tho, fried in red oil with akidi.

First time I'm hearing/reading Ogiri is optional tho. We learn everyday

I am correct anambra sissie but I stopped cooking with ogiri many many yrs ago. But that won't stop me from eating food cooked with it. Recently, I'm having the crave for home stuffs and ogiri is among them so I will make small and put in my freezer for any ogiri food.

It's choice. Respect people's choice.
I don't use hand to shred one, I cut with knife and it's still òha soup. From my mum to grandmum to so many women use knife. Some use hand. All na choice.
Haba
The way u guys come online to attack people is disturbing.

Lol

let me just laugh.

Just look at the way you claim Anambra Abacha is better than that of Enugu.

Whereas,we all know that Udi, and Ezeagu people from Enugu state have the best Abacha in S E.

Mind you,I'm not from Enugu thou I base there.

Yes, that is why I addressed the hardness part. I saw lots of Yorubas complaining the leaves were so hard. I was shocked, oha that I can remove all from the stem with one sweep. No jokes. cheesy

So, I had to put a guide for them.

From the market, is always inside a white container with pink cover grin

Been long I used the wrapped one, after removing like 5 leaves, you'll now see one shikini something inside and sometimes mixed with egusi

Probably she used it to season the meat.
Nothing wrong in adding VERY LITTLE onions to season the meat when cooking soup.

You know, there are two types of oha tree.
I would have loved to explain that but it will confuse lots of people. One is tastier than the other. I can only buy the later if I don't see the former.
