omochelsea004: When you're looking for a loan and you start telling lies by claiming that there is no risk involved you're indirectly making things difficult for yourself because any seasoned investor in any part of the world knows that there is no business venture that does not have an element of risk. It's better for you to just keep quiet about the risks or you state mitigating plans you will use to address risks 12 Likes |

Re: Where And How Can I Get A Loan Of 15million Naira? by Kobicove(m): 11:43am On Jul 05, 2020 |
omochelsea004: No matter the knowledge or type of business there are things that could go wrong - it is either the project takes longer than planned or costs increase or the client defaults in making payment on time...all these could impact negatively on the profitability of the project thereby making it difficult to repay the loan. At the extreme end of the spectrum you as the business promoter could become incapacitated thereby leading to nonperformance of the project after funds have been disbursed by the loan provider. All these are part of risks and are what a potential loan provider or investor will need to take into consideration. The only investment that is ever regarded as being risk free is treasury bills because it is backed by the full fate of the country of issuance therefore for you not to be paid upon maturity it means that the country is bankrupt which is highly improbable. Even if the president of the country or the governor of the central bank dies or the country suffers an earthquake you will still be paid upon maturity of the treasury bill! 5 Likes |

omochelsea004: It's either you are trolling or just uneducated. Someone advised you up there and you still arguing. What the banks or any investor that want to do business with you would want to see is - what if?? Does anyone foresee this pandemic/lockdown? What if you fall sick, or God forbid die, does the business die? You need to come up with various risks that could come up - govt legislation, weather, competitors, alternatives. If your business idea is risk free I'm sure someone somewhere is already doing it.. Unless it is a novel idea, new invention. So stop making up stuff, that will make people see you as a scam or not knowledgeable. If I'm giving you 15mil I want to know what could go wrong. Well if your business is so good and risk free, just go to the banks/micro finance houses.. They are there for a reason! 1 Like |

axeman10:All well said, I understand your point of view absolutely, with all honesty let me say the business has a lesser risk which can even be avoided, & that is why I concluded it is risk free, the only problem is that the business is not for low class (which I belong to) or the poor because of the high cost the machine involved, but again most people that are rich doesn't seems to know how lucrative the business is, therefore they prefer to venture into common businesses around such as landed properties, housing, building Hotels, filling Stations and all that which can even cost them three times the expenses of what this business I am talking about would cost to invent. Few that know how cool and stress free the business is don't have capital to start up the business (Irony of life) A business that gives profit of nothing less than #100,000 on a daily basis, if on site working, and if there is no work, your machine will be resting for you, let us say the machine work at least 10 days out of possible 30 days in a month.. that means you make 1million in a month whereras there is possibility someone can still make even more in that same month, depending on the number of days the machine is being hired to work, some hires the machine for a month straight, do the calculation... I have been in line of the business and haven gain a lot of experience in the field, I actually know what I an talking about... If not the time it will take me, I can do the break down here, that's if anyone here wants it... the initial cost of purchase, the maintenance cost, the profit, there is nothing secret there because it doesn't get much of a competition If someone is making at least let's say 800k in a month, how long will it take the person to pay back a loan of 15m... in less than 1 & half years I guess. |

omochelsea004: What is the size of this business? What is your financial contribution to the funding needs of this business? What is the shareholders fund of the business? It is not good for debts to be higher than equity. Do you have the three years audited financial report of the business? I will advise you to talk to your bank. |

emmanuelewumi: What omochelsea004 wants to do is to buy some sort of machine that is required on a construction of mining site. I'm guessing it's an excavator, payloader or crane Unfortunately he's thinking like a typical employee who has never actually put his money in a business and is assuming that once he gets the loan and buys the machinery money will just be flowing in everyday that's the reason why he thinks it's free of risk. The reality however, is that he has not fully factored in the costs of running the business including maintenance (Some valves on these heavy duty machines cost as much as 80K and need to be changed occasionally depending how busy the machine is. Additionally you need to monitor the operator/driver closely otherwise he could use your machine to do some PP work on the site and charge the site owner 50% of the normal rate but will tell the owner that the machine was idle then divert the takings to his pocket. Be aware that just moving the machinery to a new site will require transport by a flatbed truck which will cost at least 150K depending on the distance it needs to be moved. |

SavageResponse: I always tell entrepreneurs that the primary source of funds for their business is personal savings, loans from families and friends, when the business expands your can get loans from the bank, you don't approach strangers and random people who don't know you from Adam to invest in your business |
Re: Where And How Can I Get A Loan Of 15million Naira? by omochelsea004(m): 10:35pm On Jul 06, 2020 |
SavageResponse:First of all your guess is right, & again you emphasized on three points which i will analyze for you one by one for better understanding, because you only have the idea & not full knowledge Point 1. Most of the machine parts are very expensive as you said (that is as expected anyway), but where you got it all wrong is that nothing needs to be changed frequently as you said, the only thing that the machine needs frequently is No 1. Servicing every 30days of work (one 30Ltrs of diesel engine oil #16,800, Oil filter... around 8k & Fuel filter... around 6k) & No 2. Hoss, it's hoss could burst at anytime thereby wasting hydraulic, & it cost around 15k to repair the hoss + 10 to 15Ltrs hydraulic to replace the one that got spilled. Those are the only two expenses that can be qualified with the word "frequently" as stated by you, the valves you mentioned doesn't get spoilt easily Point 2. Why do i need to engage the service of an operator when I myself can operate the machine perfectly Point 3. You got the analysis totally wrong here, moving the machine from one site to another requires the service of a Lowbed truck with no fixed price, the cost depends on the distance to be traveled & the bill is totally on the person that hires the machine, not the owner. hope you get that part? Conclusion: There is nothing on this earth that doesn't requires maintenence, just as vehicles for example, no matter what there must be a time it will develop fault & required to be repaired, we human beings even fall sick & we do go to hospital to be treated, same as this heavy duty machines, they will at some point in time develop faults & required to be repaired, but where most of the owners get it all wrong is that they don't set aside money in case the machine request for repair, they spend all the money made from the machine by either diverting it totally to other things, or using it to do big man around cities & spending lavishly, so when the machine later develop fault, it will now become hard & difficult for them to attend to it due to the fact that they never prepared for it. How to address the problem; for example; In my location, hiring the machine is at a fixed price of 100k per day for the owner, the person that hires it will be the one to fuel the machine, pay for lowbed to move it to the site & again back to that initial point & will also be the one to pay the Operator The owner get 100k per day with no daily expenses at all from the owners part (except for the maintenance of the machine alone which is not always) therefore I as a owner, i will open an account mainly for maintenance purpose (because the parts are truly expensive), out of the 100k income from the machine per day, i will zero my mind & put it at the back of my mind that my daily income is 80k, & i will always deposit the remaining 20k in the maintenance account every day someone hires the machine... by so doing it will be very easy for me to attend to the machine whenever it develope fault & needed to be repaired with no stress at all. Now the Calculation: At the rate of 100k per day, the machine is being hired for at least 10 days out of possible 30 days in a month, that is 1million, in my own case i will believe i make 800k in that 10 days, & by depositing 20k each day, the money in the maintenance account in that 10 days will be 200k... now tell me, if it is going like that, how will it be difficult for me to withdraw from the maintenance account & service the machine when necessary & fix other things when required? |

omochelsea004: Here's my advise to you to actualise your dream Option 1 You need to make an equity contribution of at least 30% of the cost of the machinery which is N4.5 million After raising your own share you may then start pitching your proposal to potential investors to provide the balance of approx. N10.5 million. It will be much easier for you to get 2 investors to contribute N5.25 million each that convincing a single investor or bank to provide the whole amount of N15 million for the purchase of the machine. Option 2 After raising your equity contribution of N4.5 million Approach a bank (It could either be a commercial or microfinance bank) to give you a loan to make up the balance while you use the machine as collateral for the loan The bank will keep the original copies of the title documents of the machine and hand them over to you when the loan is completely paid off. Be sure to you read and understand any document the bank gives you before you sign, pay particular attention to interest rates and other bank charges. 2 Likes |
