Thanks @geekybabe for your consistency, I want to ask can one use both the Lansoprazole and unripe plantain remedy together? And if yes pls how should one take them to avoid drug interactions? Thanks

The plantain remedy is supposed to neutralise the acid in your stomach and provide a coating so that your stomach heals. its a natural remedy, and takes a lot of consistency to be effective.
Lansoprazole on the other hand is a good PPI, that outrightly inhibits the production of excessive acid secretion in the stomach. PPIs come with their own mild side effects, but if your pain is intense then go for Lansoprazole.

Its been years since I did the plantain remedy but I never tried it with medications. Its best to do one thing after another so you dont over-stretch your body.

Hello..... Just found this thread and I'm really happy, I've been suffering ulcer for three months now and at a point I felt I was being bewitched...... I feel a burning sensation from my waist down to my feet and most times only on my feet.blurred vision has been my new normal now and I get frustrated by the day not until two days back when a doctor prescribed omeprazole and chlaritromicine that gave me relief, I've also tried that plantain and water stuff and it only brought relief for some days before I went back to square one again....did scan few days ago and everything came out pretty normal but said I had gas in my stomach....... Please I need more suggestions on how to be healthy again...... Thanks

The bloating and gas can be a mild side effect of omeprazole use. And you need to get the gas out. Get Gelusil, Danacid or gavicon chew-able tablets to help with the gas. You need to watch your meals as well. You can check my previous posts on meal suggestions. When you are surpressing acid in your stomach what you eat really matters to avoid bloating and gas. Eat more fibre, fruits and veggies

In some cases it does especially if the patient is experiencing anxiety issue.

Now you just said the cause. Anxiety. Not ulcer.

That's anxiety and/or panic attack. I've had ulcers since 2008 but my first panic attack came 2 Sundays ago...I had difficulty in breathing and palpitations...I was really scared, thought I was having a heart attack. The whole episode lasted over 30mins. The next day, Monday, my Doc explained what happened. Then the following day, Tuesday, I had another one early in the morning.. I quickly googled what to do and practised the steps, this one lasted for just about 10 to 15 mins.

Please I need help cos i don't know if it's ulcer anymore, I've not lived a normal life for the past three months and it's eating me up........ From one symptom to another...... Initially it was blurred vision and very cold feet until I was admitted and diagnosed of ulcer, typhoid and malaria, was treated at the general hospital and also given medications. This was around April and I swear that was the last time i felt anything close to normal three days later I started feeling this very hot sensation from my waist down to my feet, it gets so hot internally and you won't feel it when you touch me, that was when I started this plantain and water remedy but it didn't do Jack, went back to the hospital last week and the doctor said same thing. I've been on omiprazol, clarithromicibe and amozile for almost two weeks no and no much improvement....... My life is so miserable right now and sadly depression is setting in........ Don't know y they can't find the actual cause of my predicament......please I need help or advice because I'm actually frustrated to the edge.....right now it seems like my heart is so heavy and there's this vibration that goes all over my body that makes my hands and legs shake uncontrollably

Blurred vision is caused by Typhoid combined with Malaria. Focus on Malaria and Typhoid treatment then manage the ulcer. I was once in your shoe. stay safe.

In my won case I don't even know if it's a spiritual case or medical one because right now I am confuse and don't know what else to do...

Heading to 2 months now whenever I eat I have bloating stomach and running temperature, I have been to two different hospital and taken 2 RULOX suspension Antacid and a whole lot of drugs prescribed by doctors such as
flagl, Tab Nospa, ciprotab, omeprazole , Aiocin Tablet, Artesunate (maleria) , Orphesic
and have been to several hospitals but I get disappointed that non of this doctors understand what my problem really is, they all seems to say am okay whereby within me I know all is not going down well...
The problem is I feel rumbling in the stomach something like gas immediately I eat food or drink with a running temperature that doesn't calm down, discomfort and fullness when I eat a little food... I'm tired of this situation and is really affecting my daily living... I don't know if anyone has passed through this

Wow! great content here!! Kudos to all that have kept this thread up.
It seems the questions I intend asking have been asked here before with answers already so I'll just read back

My prayer is for strength to adjust to new lifestyle change. This Ulcer pain is just too much to bear that sometimes I fear pain might kill me
Its well

And my testimony arrived so soon! shocked
Glory!!!
This is how the human is originally created to function, smooth, painless and peaceful. But unfortunately we are exposed to so many factors that negatively affect how we should function.

Thanks so much @ geekybabe for starting this thread and sharing your experience and life saving tips. I followed them religiously however I recently bought a longrich Supplement (Berry oil) and an Alkaline cup and it helped reduce my stomach acid and has been very effective for food digestion.

So far in 3 weeks Ive not felt any ulcer related pain at all at all cool and I pray it remains like this IJN . I don't wish even an enemy that terrible pain.
I wish you all speedy healing too kiss

Instantly? I practised the steps. I had 3 more episodes on that same day, making it 4 in total. So I went to see my doctor and she gave me some tablet..1 tablet cut into 4 small pieces.. She said it will help with the anxiety and it did.

However, you should also watch what triggers yours. I know my triggers so I started avoiding them immediately and I haven't had any episode since then.

Hi there. Yes, you may have ulcer and all. But those symptoms you listed are more related to you having anxiety / panic attacks.
When you have feel hot/cold involuntarily, or have heart palpitations and body shaking/ trembling, unexplained fast heart rate it is most likely anxiety.

One thing you must know is that anxiety / panic attacks can make you feel restless and scared but it doesnt kill. It always passes.
Try to relax more. I wont advice taking anxiety meds along with all of the medication you already take.
If you have used antibiotics for 2 weeks, just discontinue please. You can stay on the omeprazole for as long as recommended by your doc, but prolonged use of antibiotics is not encouraged.

Relax. Take deep breathes and stop panicking. Panic increases your stress levels which makes the ulcer worse no matter the meds you take. Increased anxiety if not managed can increase BP and you dont even want that. follow your lifestyle changes and give time to heal. Ulcer treatment takes time. Its not magical

Anxiety meds are good for instant relief, but please be mindful so that your body doesnt get used to them and become dependent on them. Anxiety can be managed well without meds. It is extremely difficult to stop once you get used to them. and Overtime you realise you need more and more doses. try to avoid them if you can and only use as a last resort. They have intense long term side effects

Gas/Bloating are mostly side effects of gastric ulcer treatments. But relax, you can find relief. Or it could be due to something called IBS, Irritable Bowel syndrome. (read about it extensively online).

Make a list of foods that cause you to be bloated or have stomach rumbling. Identify your triggers. avoid them. Typical culprits are milk, or things made from wheat.(bread, cake, pies, etc). Read online about meals to avoid if you have bloating or gas problems.

Eat in bits. Take lots of fruits and smoothies to ease bowel movements. You may take buscopan attimes to help with the rumbling. But most importantly, avoid foods that trigger it.
