thenaijacoder:Just out of curiosity. Did you study computer science in the university? I'm currently an undergrad of graphic design at a federal university of technology and while web design/development is actually just a course in my department I'm actually keen on learning it full time. I'm still on HTML and CSS though. What are my chances in the web developer world as a graphic design graduate? 1 Like |

Bros, start aggressively looking for another job even if it means that your income will be reduced. You cant go on without sleepless nights, it's going to have adverse effects on your health including mental well being in future. I know of a man that is in his early 40s right now but can't sleep at night anymore due to the fact that he has been working at night for several years. Better still, Google the long term effects of sleepless nights. Health is wealth! thenaijacoder: 17 Likes |

I work as a developer on Microsoft SharePoint framework. It's been a great experience working remotely so far, plus I actually have a little time to improve my knowledge and skills while still giving 100% to the company. I thank God for grace 15 Likes |

Chuky7: Will you close your mouth! What do you even know about banking pay system? An entry level in Access Bank earns about 200k monthly minus allowances. ET's in First Bank were earning about 175k and it has just been revived upwards. AM's, earn about 500 - 600k monthly, DM's, 600 - 700k etc. Quit smoking paw-paw leave! 19 Likes 1 Share |

ERORR404: The chances for anyone is high as long as you have the determination and focus. Then as a graphics designer the odd is higher because UI/UX aspect of software means you will have the UI creative skills that's not that easy most people. Think color combo, fonts and typography and stuff. Your skill can be best applied to Frontend programming (actual programming) or UI/UX design (designing of mobile or web app interfaces). For Frontend programming you'll need to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript and the frontend frameworks like Reactjs, VueJs. For UI/UX design you'll need to use online platform like Figma, InvisionApp etc or some adobe xd etc. 12 Likes |

rigarmortis:They are so quick to compare earnings with that of bankers. Some bank MDs can comfortably buy off that tech company and still have change to dash government for COVID-19 pandemic. 4 Likes |

Remotely working from home from here in the US due to COVID of course. I heard someone mentioning they were getting paid $500/month. That is enslavement bro. They'll delibrately outsource such jobs to beat down the price. That figure is about what we'll make here in 1 day. If you're into any of these fields; developer, infosec, coding, pentest, net sec or any IT core field, this season is the best time cash in since you can literally run 2 jobs concurrently and run a third paying IT survey gig like URI. And most of these apply outside the states too, just got to be in the position. 21 Likes |

Chuky7: I repeat, stop talking nonsense! No bank MD earns less than 2m monthly pay minus allowances. For one to be an MD, you must have gotten to the level of a GM. And most banks GM's earn about 4m plus monthly. There is no commercial bank MD that earns less than 2m.i am not referring to Microfinance banks 4 Likes |

thenaijacoder:Well my advice is for you to learn to sleep during the day, working at night is quite enjoyable for me because of less distraction .Unfortunately my remote job experience was killed by the power company so I am saving up to buy an inverter hopefully the power company won't go on a one month break. I also like the idea of been paid by the hour. Finally the reason I wrote is to obviously learn from you. 3 Likes 1 Share |

thenaijacoder:I certainly can't call myself a developer yet, though I'm well versed in java and web building but being there's more to all that i have never applied for any of that. But as a freelancer generally it's a breath of fresh air for me doing what i do best, making use of time that I'm not doing nothing. Growing up i was already used to being awake all night watching tutorials, series or practicing the new things I learnt. The moment i was introduced to freelancing i wasted no time. In a country where we lack opportunities for youths to make money legitimately, any other option i get that pays me according to my skill is good business. You're having the issue of time cos your body isn't used to it. As for me I've been used to the night life for long its almost as if I'm not nigerian. 1 Like |

Re: Share Your Remote Job Experience As A Developer by flexyrule(m): 1:12pm On Jul 06, 2020 |
AFONAMARO:If you even investigate well.. MDs of microfinance banks might even earn up to 2m. I have a friend that runs a small lending business. He has funds he is trading with close to 1 billion and pays his investors up to 4% on their investments monthly. That guy can comfortably pay himself 1.5m monthly, then talk of banks that are now paying less than 2% p.a. |
