all those shouting "retire retire" please go tell his age mate brother Merci or his elder brother Rolando to retire. We have players who dropped in form worst than his at that age still playing club football actively. You go and retire or tell your great grand politicians to retire. Nonsense and ingredient. 1 Like |

I just like him. John terry, Ferdinand, scholes and so on, how old were they before they retire. How old is mercy and Rinaldo. Ride on Mikel. U would have become the best midfielder if not that chelsea and morinho spoilt show for u |

This guy is the most decorated Nigerian player after Kanu and some Nigerians are here hating on him. During his time at Chelsea Fc he was a selfless player sacrificing for the success of the team. He has won several trophies over time and is one of the longest serving players in Chelsea Fc. He went to China did well, came back to Europe and almost took Middleborough to play off in the championship. Went to Trabzonspor and was a key contributor helping them to achieve champions league qualification. Mikel is a star and still have alot to offer in top football. let people keep hating their own. Nigeria once had the first African man to win heavyweight World boxing organization title by name Samuel Peter but instead of supporting the guy some Nigerians showed him hatred. In this country people seem never to appreciate their own. |

Sirheny007: Retire? What business can bring him $80,000 a week? Don't you know 70% of all footballers go broke after football? No matter how much he has invested, I doubt it can yield that kind of money for him. At best $8,000 a week and that is if he has invested wisely. Many don't. His partner is the daughter of a very rich man. She may have a high taste. He seems educated. He may get a coaching job after retirement. How much it will pay is another thing. Eyeama is coaching a 5th division side in France if I'm correct. The former shot-stopper probably earns no more than $10,000 after-tax, and that may be very generous on my part. Let him work until his tired legs truly have given up. |

Sirheny007:has Messi retired? If he still wants to play let him play. C. Ronaldo is older than him. He retired from the National team not football in general |
