jubrilx: It should be sent before the online visa application and also attach the MyBank statement which bears the Ticket ID and password with your application. This will enable the visa gain free access to your account and be able to confirm its authenticity. It will end in praise 4 Likes |

Tonyodg: Bro, that's the new development on this thread, constant repetitive questions and answers which kept on derailing the thread over and over again. I'm even surprised answering the same questions repeatedly LOL . Back in those days (in the previous threads), when newbies will always be redirected to read the past threads before attempting to ask questions that are unclear to them. I continually keep on advising prospective applicant's that for them to be well versed in this Canada Immigration process and be able to outgrow me, they need to keep on reading relentlessly. You will agree with me when I tell you that over and over, people do ask me on countless occasions how I'm able to gather this knowledge thus far. And, In my capacity, I am able to let them know that my existence on this thread made it possible for me and with the assistance from some of the relevant search engines too. There is no magic elsewhere. Information is the key that unlocks every doors and a single piece of information, a single idea at the right time, can change one's life in the right situation. Everyone have within them, right now, deep reserves of potential and ability that, if properly harnessed and channeled, will enable them to accomplish extraordinary things for themselves. Frankly speaking, i would urge newbies to try as much as possible to gather information from their personal research and on the process that they require any clarity or guidance, they should feel free to ask their questions here without hesitation. If we continue this act of constant repetition of questions, We might not be achieving the purpose of this thread. This is because the platform will be filled with already answered enquires with no new information to learn and digest from it. Thank you all and I would be looking forward to a better reformation from the newbies. It will end in praise. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Frankrobbn1:Well-done @frankrobbn1 As regards this MyBank Statement Ticket, Is it that, not all banks give applicants the Mybank statement ticket? Cos a guy who submitted his Application last month had a sponsor who uses Polaris Bank, they sent the Mybank Statement ticket to the Canadian Embassy, and the Sponsor was also giving a Bank Reference Letter addressed to the Canadian Embassy, but Polaris Bank didn't give his Sponsor the Ticket ID, they only gave him a Bank Statement having the following details At the Top- left hand side, they wrote mybankStatement® | date | Page 1 Summary info Role - Sponsor Account name - Sponsor's name Address Tenor - 6 months Currency - NGN Available balance - Book Balance - Total debit- Total Credit - Then the 6 months Bank statement, followed... I guess it is ok he used this ? Thanks 2 Likes |

Lekiboboe: Its very perfect to use the regular SOA which carries the total debit, total credit and available balance in the account. It is true that not all commercial banks in Nigeria issue the Ticket ID and Password. The applicant will have no issue using the normal SOA provided that its genuine. The visa officer will still go ahead to verify the authenticity of the bank statement by sending an email across to the head office of the bank. It will end in praise. 1 Like |

Good morning all Thank you for sharing freely Please I am a little confused. I have received my admission from University of Saskatchewan. Though I have deferred to Jan 2021. As a result of this the school said my admission letter will be issued late July or sometime in August. Now, the confusion is that i know a few people that applied for visas for programs that have online alternative or are starting online till schools decide on their next steps and their visas were refused for this reason.( Or so they say) I was initially planning to apply in August but now I think I want to wait till October. Is this a wise decision ? |

Ijeanwuli: I can defer my admission for personal reasons too. People are going through alot this period and rejecting Visa due to the reason you stated above is really bad. I deferred my admission till January 2021 and I applied a few days ago. Que sera sera. 1 Like |

NairaLuck: I paid my deposit with GT Bank Naira Mastercard via CIBC. My deposit was even $CAD4,000. Came up to around approx. N1,100,000 or so. This was in March, I had a deadline to meetup and the FormA was suspended by the Central Bank during that period. Confirm with your bank on your daily limit. What I don't know is the exact charge for the transaction. But if I had the option of FormA as you do now, I would have used it. |

Pls Which course did you get admitted to study? Did you get full or partial funding? If yes, was it from a supervisor you personally contacted or the one assigned after filing the pre-qualification form, or the funding came from graduate school? Ijeanwuli: |

Osemigho: Hello Osemigho, As long as the status of her PR brother is valid and he has no criminality records, I don't see what will make the effort abortive but only on the fact of not being able to show strong ties back home that can eventually outweigh the possible ties available in Canada. If this isn't much of any difficulty of somewhat, the PR brother can easily sponsor her without much hassle. The funds can be in her father's BA prior to filing her application and could be made readily available and accessible in case of some unprecedented reasons. Since the PR brother is determined and adamant, then diligent homework should be focused on how to improve her ties back home and demonstrating at least "a" level of establishment in her home country. Thus, be it as it may, getting her father to play a little role in the application may be the needed reflection it needs since he's alive. The status of the PR brother will definitely not affect her only if there is proper conviction and it may if certain positions of the PR brother doesn't meet the sponsorship requirements deemed eligible by IRCC. All the best |

YemmyPOG: Hello YemmyPOG, If the name of your boss didn't reflect in any of your documents or mentioned, or reflects different in the transfer history, a sales agreement document/loan repayment document can come resourceful. But if it negates the aforesaid, then get an authenticated letter of financial support from your boss stating the company's stand and policy in either supporting their employees with financial assistance to further their study or as a friendly/soft loan that will be deducted from your salary with effect from your resumption prior after your study. The letter should be backed by an authenticated agreement endorsed by the company's lawyer and/or with a board resolution letter approving the funds. Insofar, the implication of the statement in the second paragraph is that it also demonstrate a tangible home ties of a guaranteed employment securement and returning home to repay back the soft loan. This makes more sense if the prospect study focus correlates with the current employment. To this end, the idea can be tweaked to meet the desired preference relating to the most suited means possible. All the best 1 Like |

I learnt that doing a one year PGC course will not give one an opportunity to apply for PR. Is it the duration of the program that does not qualify one for PR or is it the course? What if I got a three year Visa to study a PGD only for me to arrive there and do a one year PGC then now work for two years? Is anything wrong with doing this? Will I still qualify to apply for PR? Is there a penalty for doing this? Is taking a two year PGD the minimum requirement to qualify one to apply for a PR? Pls Gurus, Help! |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Osemigho: 7:21pm On Jul 07, 2020 |
Foski01: If you got a three year study visa but changed to one year program, I think, not sure, you have 2 options: 1. you enroll in another program to complete the three years. 2. Graduate one year program and apply for work permit. This cancels the remaining two years on your study permit. In my opinion, anything apart from the two means you are out of status and illegal resident. Being out of status or illegal might be a very bad thing for your PR application. You qualify for PR anytime you meet the requirements. You may already qualify and do not know. Studying in Canada is not an automatic gateway to Canadian PR, it just make it easier. I got my PR about two months into my masters program in 2017. To know if you already qualify, check out Canada Express Entry program. All the best. 2 Likes |

Foski01: For the bolded, this is wrong ...u need to decide on what you want with the information u get here eg what's your reason for migrating to Canada. If its PR, we have explain vividly that a 2 or more years program sets you in the right track towards a PR. A year course means you have to repeat this whole process of extending your stay most especially another bank statement showing you can take care of your living expenses for at least a year |
