A parishioner was absent from the church for 2 weeks, the pastor now decided to visit him at home.

When the pastor got to his house, he was surprised at the size of his Mansion and numbers of exotic cars in his garage. The man comes to church on Sunday with just 2 average cars. Unfortunately the pastor did not meet the man at home, he met his domestic staff.

When the man came back, he decided to visit the pastor for checking on him. That he was sorry he travelled out of the country for 3 weeks for his vacation

The Pastor said sir, why are you hiding God's blessings. You are so blessed, but you hardly give testimonies about your wealth, blessings etc. You even traveled to US for your vacation, you did not testify that you got a Visa to US.

Infact the parishioner was surprised, if not embarrassed.

It can't work. Such a man is not chasing clout, not trying to impress anyone and is at peace with himself. Won't give more than he has been giving

People like Hushpuppi and co who have inferiority complex with want to flaunt their wealth.

My mentor politely turned down committee appointments in his Church because he believed he doesn't have the time to be effective in such committees. Was a regular member, although he has a scholarship program for indigent children in his parish

I don't want to sound sexist here or deviate from d topic but if you go back in time and study the creation of man according to each legend (The Christian perspective, Panku, Nono and Oboli, Oduduwa and co)

You will agree with me that there are lots of benefit in having a male child.

In a perfect world, d sex of a child won't matter, but we ain't in a perfect world.

What are you talking about?

This is not the thread for this....
But now you have posted it here

I'll ask you
And answer bluntly

Name four "benefits" of a male child that a female child cannot also offer

You said a lot....

So just name four

Children are a gift from God

Very few people will tell you the source of their wealth, even if it is legitimate

If they tell you that means they must have seen certain features in you which will enhance your success and they really like you.

You are absolutely right sir! Some years ago we were accused of not contributing anything to the church we attended then by the elders because in the church they give you envelope with your family name but we didn't like it, we used a blank brown envelope instead. My hubby was forced to say if they see envelopes with no written name always and the cashier said he always see one without name and my husband said that was us. Because when he was a Muslim you don't tell your left hand what you do for your right hand, that we don't believe in taking the glory. They immediately changed their attitude towards us and they started giving us red carpet welcome but when we see that, we stopped going to the church the pastor and his crew always come to our house to change our minds we had to tell them we were relocating before they stop coming.

If the deduction is automatic on salary credit then balance factor is of no significance. Is the inflow that is d most important factor not balance. I can decide to suddenly withdraw d attractive balance or change my pattern. I used to have large balance as result of left over from salary, now I keep not more than 50k.

In d case u stated above d scenario could probably be 10% or less of ur monthly income by 3 years, giving u have been earning same in d last 5years or more.

10% of 100,000 x 12 x 3 = #360,000

I doubt the banks consider only inflows to arrive at what is due to you as loan. At a point in time, i had N1.5m showing as amount i can take as loan. I used to leave a large sum in my salary current account. Then i started moving out the money a day or two once the salary enters to accounts in two different banks. I then noticed that the N1.5m dropped to about 600k. Then i started moving some part of the left over in the salary account to my kids accounts. I noticed that the amount further dropped to below 100k. Meanwhile, the salary has not changed and it is still being paid to the same account. I also observed this same trend with another staff in another bank.

This shows that the banks do not use only inflows. The banks cannot be that foolish to use only inflows that do not stay in the account for more than a day. You think say banks no get sense?.

Those days, when banks were using only balances at the end of the month to compute savings interest, some 'smart' guys will go and borrow money and overload the account at month end to earn high interest amount. Then interest on savings was as high as 15%. On the second day of the new month, the person goes to withdraw the amount deposited and interest. He returns the borrowed amount to his friends and go and flex with the interest. This is no longer possible because interest is now computed on daily balance.

As i said earlier, a lot of parameters go into computation of the loan amount due to a person.

A lot of things are considered like your cash flow, source of income and collateral security.

Ideally you should not get a loan that is more than 30% of your annual income. A loan that is equivalent to your annual income will be spread over 3 years.

If your monthly salary is 300k, you can only use between 90k to 100k to service your debt

Bro, did you take the loan? How many people will take such loan when it is apparent they don't need it?

I have 10 mil in my account for a very long time now u as bank decide to offer me 4 mil as loan because of my balance, why should I take it and be paying interest when I can use my idle money?

If that is how they go about it they wont get enough people to go with it.

Concerning default, most salary accounts have a consistent payment period every month, mine does. So how can I default when salary goes through the bank first? Risk to them could be seize in salary and that is where they should do their homework.

Anyway, all this based on my rational thinking and I am probably wrong.

With GTB mobile app it's a straight forward process. The maximum amount you're qualified for is automatically generated(which you can edit) and you adjust the tenure of the loan using the slider, input your four digit pin code. Shikenan......
