You don't know anything about the FLYOVER so close your mouth. The barricade was to avert future situation where trucks fall off the top of the bridge. We have seen a lot of that happening in Lagos.

Below is Asaba FLYOVER, they copied Anambra by putting barricade. This is being proactive and not because the FLYOVER is not structurally strong.

Smiles!

I don't think you need to strike my mention all in the name of making your opinion known.

So Ebonyi State government never thought of averting future situation by not putting the barricade?? Let's call a spade a spade bro..

You want to compare n contrast the two states and you mentioned onitsha, nnewi n akwa for anambra n only abakailiki for ebonyi state.
You see now you do not have sense

Major government business is saving lives and properties. If ebonyi doesn't want to be proactive about it, is their concern, afterwards they may not have much vehicles on their roads.

See below what Delta and Anambra are trying to avert. It has been happening in Lagos. Everything shouldn't be about politics. Those trucks have been falling off the FLYOVERS in Lagos would have been avoided if they were channelled through ground routes.

Gov. Obiano Defies Heavy Rainfall To Inspect Ongoing Road Projects In Anambra State (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that Governor Obiano of Anambra State on Tuesday 7th July, 2020, defied heavy rainfall to inspect ongoing work at the 11.5km Mmiata-Nzam road with adjoining 120 metre long bridge as well as other ongoing road projects in the state.

Governor Obiano who reiterated his commitment to completing the projects
expressed satisfaction over the work done so far.

He said that the road and bridge is of great economic importance to the people of Anambra West LGA and indeed Anambrarians as it will aid evacuation of farm produce to markets and ease movement in the area.

Also, the Commissioner for Works, Engr Marcel Ifejiofor who received the Governor, said that the project will be completed soon as most of the earth work had been done. "The bridge is nearing completion. It is already in use and the contractor is on ground to ensure work continues till full completion".

Anambra state is one of the most blessed states with good leaders.
From Ngige, Peter Obi, and Willie Obiano.
I am not from anambra state.
But the state has one of the best (urban and rural) road networks in Nigeria.
Places like Onitsha, Nkpor, Ogbaru, obosi, Idemili, Ojoto, Okpoko, awka are rough areas. But the governor has tried in terms of security and Workers welfare packages (state workers).

For me the ranking for governors in South east:
1st position - Dave Umahi (Ebonyi state) 85%
2nd position - Willie obiano (Anambra state) 75%
3rd position - Okezie Ikpeazu ( Abia state) 50%
4th position - Ifeanyi ugwuanyi (Enugu state) 30%

N.B: Hope uzodinma excluded (Just elected).

Are you in Anambra or all these na audio achievements..

Really?
Seems you have been hoodwinked by all these corrupt politicians?
Where is it written that road constructions shouldn't be carried out in the rain?
Do you know how many days in the year rain falls in the rainy season?

Have you ever in your life engage in road construction when it rains? By the way, are you a road construction technician?

Why are you people so ungrateful?! What is Anambra's IGR? Compare Anambra with neigbouring states, including Delta.

I'm not from Anambra, mind you.

Obiano defines rainfall to inspect road project not road construction please. There are many stages of road construction but it is very unwise to allow techs to work on the road when it rains. I do not know the type of road construction you have seen when it rains. Most of the heavy equipment will sink into the wet soil and please tell me who constructs anything upon unsuitable soil.

The above post spoke volume about your level of enlightenment. Why would a reasonable governor chose amid stormy weather to inspect road project? In fact, the picture buttresses my point. He stood miles away to point at an excavated section of the road. With the bolded, I guess you say this same to your father.

But why not take absolute advantage of the dry season to make the roads?
I don’t know what contractors those are but hopefully they take into consideration the effects of rainfall on the coarseness and quality of the soil that will be the foundation of a good road

Peep my signature now o! Avoid scanmers
What about construction of roads with poor load bearing capacity, or roads that has poor texture quality, despite dry season, Abeg leave those stupid excuses.

The thing is mistakes are minimal when roads are constructed in the dry season because the quality of soil particulary soil consolidation can be accurately measured when the soil is dry, but wet soil gives false parameters

Obiano once showed Upper Iweka as transformed but lack of maintenance has destroyed the poor transformation within a short period of time. Where is Chino? He has a lot of explanation to make

So you are pained to the point that you had to post old pictures of Upper Iweka to feel good bag of gworo.

You should be so ashamed of yourself. See Owerri where okoroawusa wasted 8yrs despite huge debt of 153 billion. I spit on Imo state cheesy

If he doesn't come out now, you say he is indolent and unconcerned. Wike inspects roads on rainy days, same in Lagos, and practiced overseas too. Can we move forward?
