BornRicch: Stop using anything to justify fraud. Nigeria is not the only country with bad or corrupt politicians. I know Nigerian politicians are heartless and useless but why did hush puppi not hustle legitimately despite being in a developed country? I have friends in Dubai who worked as cleaners before getting good jobs there. The issue here is greed and impatience. There are dozens of countries that are worse than Nigeria in every ramification but their citizens are not reputed for this nonsense image Nigerians now have all over the world. These guys have ruined so many opportunities for millions of Nigerians all across the world. People know that politicians in most parts of the world are scums - so if your country has corrupt politicians - people won't really use that to judge you unlike when your citizens have a history of notorious crimes. There are times abroad when I introduced myself as a Nigerian and the foreigners there all agreed that Nigerians are fraudsters based on the activities of these stupid yahoo boys. They think we are all dishonest people due to this whole nonsense yahoo boys that will all die a miserable death. The problem is not bad governance but greed and impatience. Hush Puppi found his way to Dubai - where he has access to good jobs and stuff. He chose not to work but engage in fraud. And he ended up spending his loot on luxury lifestyle. If you take all these Naija yahoo boys to the USA(where there is good governance) and give good jobs - they will still look for means to scam people. Because they want to drive Benz. Live lavishly forgetting that life is a process and things take time. Most of these people are not looking for how to meet their basic needs. They are all in a hurry to live in luxury - neglecting the fact that people in developed countries largely live an average lifestyle. When Americans deride Nigerians with terms like ”Nigerian Prince” or ”419”, do they refer to Nigerian politicians or ordinary Nigerians who engage in cybercrime? This shows you who really brings us shame. Nonsense! 2 Likes |

I am sure this job ad was posted by some low life racist indian. Such descrimination is a taboo in the uae, I will inplicate the company. Publicly targeting a country for descrimination is not allowed for employers. If your government is a serious one, it should also find a way to reciprocate the action by banning Dubai goods from entering the country. Simple. The nigerian scammers and thieves are products of your terrible leadership, so I have the right to blame buhari. Shikena |

i'm not disputing all your point. we still saying same thing here you only miscontrue me. my part of insulting our politicians is where they refused to develop out country and make us citizens lack basic things which we find as havens in better clime If they had run this corntree so well we wouldn't be going abroad for one stupid greener pasture which would later lead to us being painted black sheep or some sort. Never said you wrong at all yes greed is at play here thats black people generally we know. all i meant was we wouldnt be going to another country to make it if here was better for us to just sit down and be happy and live a better life The discrimination is just way too much in dubai good you said your friend work there but does he/she also tell you what they facing there. you only know the story of him working small before getting a better job but if you really knew what he went through before the transition talking about the racial profiling and discrimination not a small thing bro. i worked there for years as well talking from experience we on same page here not suporting fraud or the likes only blaming the govt and leaders for the way they have been running us. simple! When we are all ready to tell ourselves the truth, we'll divide the country and allow everyone to go home and start afresh. Till then, you all can keep wallowing in self-deceit that "nigeria will be better"- a hopeless lullaby sang only by politicians and their crooks who have their hands in the cookie jar. |

dapsoneh:Have you lived in the UAE? Before hushpuppy arrest... These people will hail you for being hushpuppy brother. They tell you all Nigerians too rich. In this same times before his arrest, getting to rent an apartment as a Nigerians is like passing a camel via the eyes of a needles, same applied to getting jobs as a nigerian. The entire Nigerian community are aware of these discrimination but some select landlords and employee care less where you are from, just be of good behavior is all they ask. ... So this wasnt about HP, it's been on for some years now. |

heendrix:Like it or not. If you like slit your throat at a four junction to lay curse on some youths, it changes nothing because its a path they chose and how it affects you is of little or no importance. That being said, my major blame goes to the bad leaders we have continually elected over the years. They have decayed the country and have made some youths find other ways to survive without depend on the govt anymore. In the first place, why would a citizen leave her country to go do cleaning or construction jobs in another country. You can never find an American anywhere in the world doing a "janitor" Job unless he or she misplaced her senses or her passport. They'd rather do the cleaning in their country. An American will never leave America to work unless you are promising her America outside America If you know what I mean. I have lived in Dubai before. I shared flats with a Ukrainian and Egyptian. If you hear the juicy monthly allowances outside salaries these dudes get talk less of an American or a Canadian. They are rare to find outside unless its an a-list job and usually just for a few months or years. ... If the country good, nobody will leave. Crime like fraud will be the least resort on average minds. Let's fight this leaders... Make Nigeria great first and world respect will follow |

I hear. Carry billions of naira and pose as a foreign investor and they would open the doors for you. If they would be serious it should not just be when they want to recruit casual workers but should include foreign investors coming from Nigeria, that's where the real fraud is. |
Re: Dubai Company Excludes Nigerian Applicants From Vacancies by tonididdy(m): 6:51am On Jul 09, 2020 |
Hotice085: No no that's the misleading thought we all have. The world sees us as cowards... Hence the discrimination because they know our government careless. If they see our fights and struggles to become a greater people, a greater nation... Believe me respect will follow. ... Just last week, the UK promised to offer free citizenship and work permit to any Hongkong youth willing to leave HK. That's the kind of youths that are respected. I am sure you know what HK students have been doing on the streets of HK for almost a year now Shalom my brother. |
Re: Dubai Company Excludes Nigerian Applicants From Vacancies by Adeedris(m): 7:03am On Jul 09, 2020 |
loneprof: Well, Nigeria would become better the day we stop blaming the government or some youths for everything evil. The average Nigerian would embezzle public funds if given the chance to be in control by any means. It's what we hear everyday: " if I become the governor for two hours, the state would run bankrupt, " bla bla bla. Dishonesty and other shameful vices is more like a Nigerian thing. Until we stop trading blames and we unite (which is hard because we're so divided and biased towards ethnic and religious sentiments) , things would only get worse, and I don't see this happening anytime soon, until perhaps we've been isolated by the whole world. And if the government is bad, can't we push them out? No! Why? Simple: The real voters aren't learned, they hardly use social media, once they're given two cups of rice, they'll shout 'sai baba,' or 'Atiku is coming' or whatever they're asked to say, then cast the vote. The other Nigerians on the other hand are social media noice makers, whose actions never count because they hide in their room and don't take any actions. But blames and counter blames will never end, while nobody takes actions. |

I heard they 've included a new word in the dictionary, thats "nigeria scam".Nigerians are looked upon as dubious, dishonest, lawless and disorganise set of humans the world over.you cannot change that,it's the nigerian "IDENTITY".Even back home, there is an adage that if you carry out any transaction with a fellow nigerian,if you do not scam him, then he has ripped you off,it's as bad as that.the problem is not just about yahoo boys and internet fraud or hushpuppi,it's the nigerian identity. |

Crispels:You got it. To many Nigerians, they think to have corrupt politicians means a license to commit any kind of crime and feel justified. The irony is that the same set of people who defends fraudsters also mete out jungle justice against suspects who are supposedly victims of corrupt politicians themselves. It seems their value judgment depends on whether they see themselves as victims of a particular criminal. 1 Like |
