[quote author=kingreign post=91405965] You had better left that engine sourcing to mechanics who knows what to look for in a Tokumbo engine before you go buy 'appearance engine'[/quo OK sir |
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by chukel(m): 3:50pm On Jul 05, 2020 |
sureboykris:starting issue sounds like fuel pump. Scan asit could also be one of those cam or crankshaft sensors. PCV- positive crankcase ventilation valve. OCI- oil change interval. When the PCV is bad or blocked, car starts consuming more fuel, shorting oil, smoking white. It also causes increased combustion chamber pressure leading to blowing of seals. Engine starts leaking oil via valve cover and any other place that has seal. Oil can seep into plug holes. |

llade:Good Day All, just to update the house and ask for the way forward. I spoke to the mechanic although am in Lagos presently and he is with the vehicle in Auchi. He said a new ECU or brain box has been gotten and the old one replaced. He also said the new ECU is now bringing light to the plugs, nozzles which the old ECU did not and there is communication between the ECU and other parts of the vehicle. Just as I was elated to hear that he said the vehicle has lost timing and that he has to be reset the timing before it starts. Please is he on track cos he said he has adjusted the timing and is waiting for the programmer to complete his work and start the vehicle. Thanks. |

driving: any good Dot 3 heavy duty brake fluid will do. But I'd always advice you switch to Dot 6 if you see any. 1 Like |

driving: Getting tokunbo sensors that actually work is difficult so you might need to hold on tight to the bank 2 sensor for emergency situations. You should advice the mechanic to visit Ladipo and buy straight from the engine. |
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by aieromon(m): 10:15am On Jul 15, 2020 |
llade: I hope he gets functional sensors this time. It would be nice if he can get straight from an engine or just go along with a multimeter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvuzZJqQDf4 |

usafemo: If tokunbo or naija used check the transmission well well and ensure it is in good condition. After buying change your transmission oil every 6 months if you can afford it use Nissan NS-2 which is a CVT fluid nothing else. NOTE MURANO is fitted with CVT not regular Automatic transmission and any automatic transmission fluid you pour inside would damage the transmission 1 Like |
