Other countries are on lockdown so they can trace infected citizens whilst simultaneously researching for a cure.

Nigeria is on lockdown because that is what other countries are doing, zero testing capacity, zero research about a cure.

Nigeria lockdown doesn't affect voters and market vendors because government needs voters to stay in power and also need the market open for tax purposes but students are severely affected because their children attend prestigious schools overseas whose curriculum is still running thanks to online distance learning.

Las las everybody will be alright!

ever since Lagos declared that school will resume Aug 3 the case per day is yet to enter 200 while total day is less than 600.

it is a good news anyway but I don't know how the scores fall, but it show we are winning the war against covid 19

Are there no student union in nigeria higher institutions again?

they should come out in mass in their various states and protest against this injustice by nigeria government to students

and secondly the election should not be held unless schools are open.

how can you be preparing for election and no meaningful steps on school resumption due to NCDC live scores

I maintain my call for a Total lockdown till further notice.
We cannot continue to fold our arms and allow the cases to keep increasing.
All schools, churches mosques, markets, banks, industries should be shutdown till further notice.

Only a Total lockdown will reduce the cases.

American, China and host of other countries have lockdown their countries.

The FG must act faster now. Nigerians are too stubborn and will only adhere to guidelines only when the virus spreads to their homes.

Everybody must begin now to stock their homes as a total lockdown will be enforced any moment from now.

We shall overcome.

NIGERIA DAILY CASES IS ONE OF THE MOST USELESS AND INACCURATE RECORDS.

IMAGINE TEST RESULTS ARE TAKING ONE TO TWO WEEKS NOW , AND IT IS STILL RECORDED AS DAILY CASES.

NIGERIA WITH ALL THE MONEY THEY GOT AS DONATION AND THE MONEY THEY BORROW CANT STILL DO OVER 3000 DAILY TESTS, AND THIS IS WHY WE KEEP HAVING SAME RESULT BETWEEN 400 TO 700 EVERYDAY

IF GOVERNMENT CAN DO ALL THE SAMPLE THEY HAVE ONCE..DAILY CASES CANT BE MUCH, BUT IN A SITUATION WHEREBY WE HAVE SO MUCH SAMPLE ON GROUND , WE WILL BE GETTING SAME RANGE OF RESULT FOR LONG, CONSIDERING OUR HUGE POPULATION

guy, I don't want to sound rude, but what is the benefit of lock down? How many countries in the world are still on lock down? How long do u want thee country to be lock down? Do the government have plans for their citizen during the lock down? Even if the country is locked down, is the virus just going to magically disappear in one or two months or u want them to lock down the country for the rest of the year. The truth is that Nigeria as a country can't survive a lock down for an extended period of time and lock down does cure the virus.

Absolutely useless undecided. They might as well just stop reporting since we're heading nowhere with this undecided. It seems they got the message to stop their useless press briefings also undecided. I'm beginning to side with some people that say the virus should take its course undecided only that would be equally horrible sad.
