The AFN procured some mountain climbers bikes to boost our fight against security challenges in our country. These bikes were modified by configuring and fitting communication equipment which will enable effective communication amongst our troops. 5 Likes

Toju200: The Nigerian army has had Israeli pmc contractors train them , in the past....I can't really remember their name, this was before four troops trained that air force....it's just strange a pmc with no history or website is training our army.. . Makes it seem our generals serving or retired have started pmc business. |

Some of these Primary 2 Mad Max contraptions from the army nowadays. By the way, what's the status of DICON collaboration with engineering faculties of some Nigerian universities? Or how about Nigerians in diaspora, you can find and headhunt some via LinkedIn. Big plus for their cv while they put their brains to work for the nation. Edit: The solar panel bike set up will not stand the rigours of battlefield and it that happens with Comms link severed, the results can be catastrophic. 5 Likes |

bidexiii:Are these improvisations put to test before induction? because I don't see how that goes gunner will properly handle that gun in a gallopy/rough terrain, I think adding extra wheels at the rear will give it more balance. I sha want to believe both the rider and his gunner will have their own side arms when shit gets real because I don't that gunner has more than 90° freedom. 1 Like |

ugo4u: Already in use and have seen some in Kadunna, they’ve been in use already but not in large quantities. You can’t have that luxury of 100% freedom or 360 dgr’s view on a nuke. These is to lay down suppressive fire. And it’s not intended for the Northeast it’s only for the the North west/central where the threat is not that high. 4 Likes |

MONUSCO troops from Moroccan Contingent assisted FARDC to repulse assailants who had attacked travelers in Ituri, DRC. The attack took place on 04 July 20 along RN27 at Gina, Djugu territory. The quick response from the blue helmets saved the situation from deteriorating further. 6 Likes

bidexiii:Oga Bidexiii... Thanks for adding more context to its use. I am still not fully convinced by it. They can reinforce the rear shocks per the extra weights. Plus I hope that GPMG doesn't tilt vertically. I don't know how it is for a pillion passenger to be discharging ammo over my head as a rider. Edit: This is the closest system I have found for weapon on a motorcycle.

bidexiii:What were they thinking for God sake?! They keep churning out these impractical contraptions. First of all, hot shell casings is going to be landing on that driver's head. Secondly, stability is going to be a huge issue here. Lastly, why would any reasonable soul place a .50 cal that close to human head?! 5 Likes 1 Share |

The previous leader , Amir Abba Abba Gana was dismissed and detained as ISWAP leader. Xbee007: Yeap we are forced to think because funds allocated for defense is not enough say less of the army. Have seen armies from Indonesia, India and Pakistan with close byke design or something close to the NA. And talking about stability yes there will be stability because it’s a MG/GPMG not a .50 cal/12.7 x 99mm or equivalent. A general-purpose machine gun (GPMG) is a air-cooled, fully automatic weapon that can be adapted to light machine gun and medium machine gun roles. A GPMG weapon will typically feature a quick-change barrel, configuration for mounting on bipods, tripods, ATV and vehicles as infantry support weapons, and calibered to fire full-powered rifle cartridges such as the 7.62×51mm NATO, 7.62×54mmR, 7.5×54mm French, 7.5×55mm Swiss, and 7.92×57mm Mauser. 8 Likes 1 Share |

#PressRelease #DHQUpdate KEY ARMED BANDIT LEADERS NEUTRALIZED BY AIR COMPONENT OF OPERATION HADARIN DAJI AT KAGARA FOREST IN ZAMFARA STATE 1. Some notable armed bandit leaders and several of their fighters have been neutralized in air strikes executed by the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI in the Zamfara State section of the Kagara Forest. This was achieved on 9 July 2020 pursuant to Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports indicating that some armed bandits had relocated with a large number of rustled livestock from the Sokoto State side of the Forest and set up camp in the Zamfara State portion of the Forest. Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions also later confirmed the exact location of the camp. 2. Accordingly, the Air Component dispatched Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships to engage the location. As the attack aircraft approached the camp, some of the bandits and their leaders were seen fleeing towards the surrounding bushes. Consequently, the attack aircraft struck the area of vegetation taking out several of the bandits. HUMINT sources later confirmed that 8 bandit leaders and no fewer than a dozen of their fighters were killed as a result of the strikes 3. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has commended the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI for their professionalism and urged them to remain resolute in the conduct of air strikes whilst continuing to provide close air support for ongoing ground operations in order to eradicate all armed bandits; thus accomplishing the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) to restore normalcy in the North-West and North-Central Zones of the Country.
