Lol...bro that was how Rashford started na even walcot, weilbeck, lingard and Jordan Ibe, Dele Alli and more

I am not moved by all this....just give them few years and see how well he goes

You will call me biased.

Apart from Jordan Ibe all those players have had very good careers and some are still going higher.

The problem is that we have multiple double standards here. When it's KC it is one standard when it's Tega another standard when it's Osimhen another standard.

In talking about player quality there has to be comparison and objectivity.

Not looking at a players in isolation because they are Nigerian.

KC is one of the SE current best forward players talking in the context of Nigerian players.

However, taking him into the context of the EPL and in comparison to average and above average strikers in the EPL he is well below average if not outright poor when his transfer fee is put into consideration.

Rashford has scored 15 goals in the EPL.

It is here we will claim England players are over hyped, which is not without credence in some regards.

Then here you will be told that Victor is the best young striker in the world. And that is not hype, that KC is the most lethal finisher in Europe if only he had more minutes.

Then here many will say TEGA is off form, because he has not scored in a few games and a poor quality.

Lingard is not playing because better players have benched him.

This is the reality in a big club with many top players. You get few chances if you don't perform you get dropped. Also there is more rotation of players.

And many people here are hoping Victor Osimhen should go too Manchester United and become first choice. And then if he doesn't play we will say racism and favoritism.

Aa bad as you think Jordan is and how badly he flopped at Bournemouth. I will not be suprised to see him at a EPL club.

Because clubs look at pedigree and think particularly individual managers that l can get this guy on a free and develop him and or revive his career. So don't be suprised to see him at Leicester. Lol. This post is not about my opinion but how these managers and clubs work.

And remember the big thing is he costs NOTHING just wages. So Newcastle, Crystal Palace, etc will be looking at hm.

If you find that biased that's just how the EPL market is.

Valentine Ozornwafor got sent off yesterday for Almeria. And No... He didn't play at all. He was benched all through and still managed to get sent off.
He got into an argument from the stands and got red carded for it. His passion for the better of him.
For a guy who hardly sees minutes at Almeria, he really is passionate. Some of the Almeria fans were even praising him for his guts.

His team lost 1-0 to Girona.

Lille are desperate to sell Osimhen due to financial crisis. They also promised Napoli that they owed them one after Nicolas Pepe rejected them in favour of Arsenal. This is why Osimhen is delaying, because it seems Lille are pressuring him to sign the deal. Osimhen isn't taking time to ponder the deal, but is delaying in the expectation of an offer from the EPL.

Everton have already shown firm interest in the player and are expected to bid for him. Osimhen doesn't want to make the same mistake he made when he moved to Wolfsburg having been pressured.

Italian papers say that De Laurentiis wants to close the deal as soon as possible to avoid a mockery at the last moment as happened with Pépé. The Napoli fan base are becoming frustrated with Osimhen.

I don't care about their frustrations. He should be allowed to make up his own mind. I don't know why he even went to Italy in the first place.

I was coming to drop this. I missed that he returned for the Prague derby finally.

He made a cameo in the game after weeks of injury and now he is league champion for the 2nd time at Slavia Prague. Glad for the big lad.
Same Here too.

Feels good to see a Nigerian lift a major trophy in his league!!
Imagine o, from injury back to help grab the title.

Yeah. Was the second time he was achieving it with Slavia too. And uhmmm... The game ended goalless ooo. He came in on 90+1 mins. The game just confirmed them as League Champs. wink

The point no be say you no fit get players from there. You fit, but na very high-risk players. There's a high chance that bringing in a player supposedly doing well in the "backwater leagues" will fail in the premier league, especially cos some of the players you could get of that amount are still budding. So quite understand why they would turn to the championship or other premier league players, cos, for the most part, these guys are used to the premier league or to something of a similar level of difficulty/rigority. So as a recruiter you gotta make a choice. Do you want to take the risk? Or do you want someone that has a higher probability of fitting right in. Now there's the problem that the players you get from the championship/Premier league are below average anyway, why would their former teams not renew their contract unless they are from the championship or you are offering a better salary. Besides some EPL teams still have decent academies.

When you talk of top teams you must always look at the academy for potential contenders for your position. Not to do so is foolish.

But people get up in arms when l talk about this and say he is biased.

These players leave top academies and can walk into top teams and claim position in one take because they are restricted by top players in thier way.

Look at Pogba straight to Juventus and then World class look at Jadon Sancho from City to Dortmund now classed as the best young forward player in the world.

With regards to the Championship it is a league that is a first cousin to the EPL physically intense with speed. And yes if you can do well in the Championship your transition to the EPL will be very smooth.

However, coming from more technical league and doing well in those league is no guarantee you can do it in the EPL.

There is long list of top performere from other leagues that struggled in the EPL.

Batshuayi was a top player in French and Belgium league, Lacazette has never replicated his goal tally from the French league, I remember Falcao crying like a baby in Manchester United.

I can see this as being very viable but l also think Everton will want to offload Moise Keane aa a key to the transfer.

But Lille are in the business of selling so will they do a swap and get way less money.? ❓

They also know that come next season Osimhen value may not be so high. They are not a consistent team they would have sold players and he Victor will not get the same support.

My projection is that Victor will be forced to.go to Napoli because that's what Lille wants and that gives them the most €€€€. If he refuses then he is still contracted. He will create animosity within the club for himself.

to an English club they don't come that cheap but when teams in the la liga excluding Berca and Madrid and some serie A teams go for them...they come cheap.

this clubs know that English clubs has money to spend and they see them as money bags.. i believe some of those scouts don't do their job well...I stopped taking them serious after west brom signing of Ideye damn! who does that??

even the clueless coach said he has never watched him play...

This happens all the time because football is corrupt and yes even in England. Sometimes nthe deal is more important than getting a quality player.

Because money gets distributed.

Any chance we may have an Etebo vs Aribo in the Quarters? wink They look on Collison course "IF" they both progress with their sides.

Or maybe it could be Victor Moses vs Aribo? That's IF again, Aribo and Rangers make it pass the might of Leverkusen. Time will tell.
