Blockchain is an online wallet, not safe. The safest wallet to store bitcoin is in hardware wallet because only you has the private key. I store my btc securely in a hardware wallet and I carry it around sometimes. Specifically, I use Ledger S Nano and even if I misplace the hardware, I can simply buy another Ledger and restore my btc with my private key which I stored in many places.

The address that blockchain will tell you has "expired" is still 100% linked to the wallet and if you send bitcoin to the "expired" address the person will still receive it. Luno, coinbase, paxful etc don't change your addresses. The address that Luno gave me since 2017 is what I still use to receive btc till now. Even if I generate another address all the transactions are still going to the same wallet

People we’re arguing that his btc address was hacked by FBI even before his arrest and i was letting them know that you can’t hack bitcoin address especially when generated via a hardware wallet. If the funds in the wallet is a proceed of crime, they can be able to seize it if they already have access to the wallet or if the company housing the wallet is an American company or maybe a company from another country with cordial relationship with US government. That’s the reason why most guys use mostly Chinese or Russian based companies or some anonymous/online based company.
