It's got it's engine and transmission from 4runner V8, land cruiser V8, gx470 v8. It's got very terrible fuel economy due to its size, weight and engine. It's not ANYWHERE as luxurious as a lexus GX470 or LX 470 or even a toyota land cruiser. It's look is subjective and so is it's finishing.
It's reliable and rugged though.

I'd go for a Toyota land cruiser or a Lexus GX470 or LX470 rather than that truck!

Ensure no knocking or rattling noise from the engine, engine isn't burning oil, engine isn't overheating, ensure transmission is shifting fine and smooth, that transmission is around 650k, the 4.0 V6 engine is around a million naira, ensure that no electrical cut and joins and that the chassis isn't bent or rusted or cut and joined.
Ensure that ABS module isn't bypassed and it's working as should.
For models using X REARS suspensions, ensure that the suspension systems work as should.

Both are good, although Rx is better with more luxury. However, if you want low fuel consumption, go for 4 cylinders Highlander.

Good day everyone, especially the gurus. My 1999 camry i4 smokes very heavily only on cold weather, the exhaust line is very dry. Smoke only comes when is rains or the weather is cold. This isn't due like dey call it. It coves the environment that you can hardly see behind. Pls what could be the issue and how can it be fixed?

talk to Gazzuzz if he can get you an Asian variant of the 2azfe which is far better than the US version.

imagine a kazeem in site suggesting that one crackling sound was my timing chain. I went home early from work, took my time and diagnosed the noise...guess what? it was my Ac compressor bearing. I went back to the same Mech with the sound just to convince him that he never completed Mech school. long story short, he did the bearing change and now is always calling me wen water don pass garri for im shop. I'll soon start charging them for scan and diagnosis cos I've been 90% accurate.
