Hello Mamas, please help! Ever since my baby took the first rotavirus vaccine, her mouth has been smelling funny. It started smelling normal almost a month later till we took the second vaccine again. Is this normal? Has any mama experienced this? I’m worried. |

Adequate459: Supervise his bathing a bit more. Ensure he pays good attention to his armpit and private parts. Make a paste of baking soda and water and place in his armpits for a while before washing off You may consider deodorants Let him bathe after playing particularly in the afternoons Ensure his clothes are well laundered 5 Likes |

Mummy4life1: Is it not diaper rash? You need to air the bum, you can use a little bit of ABF cream on the affected area . Did you change his diaper to another brand? 1 Like |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by amSteph(f): 12:00pm On Jul 10, 2020 |
Mummy4life1: A good barrier cream like sudocrem would help. Also, baby tribotan works to clear it up in no time. When cleared, apply moderate layer of sudocrem, or tribotan or any good barrier cream regularly to minimize & prevent recurrence. Try to keep the area dry. Use diapers that trap moisture in and away from baby's skin, while changing regularly or change nappies promptly when wet. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Adequate459:. Bad combination. Used this same combination on myself some years back and I noticed I started smelling funny. Even with the used if perfume. I had to stop both before the smell went away. 3 Likes |

teedarling: They are all good brands You can use all three of them, afterall variety is the spice of life But one at a time to check for any reaction. You can later stick to the one(s) he likes. 1 Like 1 Share |

Mummy4life1: Use baby tribotan or sudo cream to clear the rash. After the rash has cleared, get original Vaseline and use it each time you change baby's diaper, it serves as a barrier cream. If you want the barrier cream to be more effective, you can mix it with powder and castor oil. Vaseline and castor oil will form thick barrier against wetness while zinc oxide in the powder will keep the skin dry. Better still, buy Bells Zinc and Castor oil cream. 1 Like 1 Share |

amSteph: It could be eczema, infantile eczema or Atopic dermatitis. It is usually triggered, and the trigger can be bath soap, cream, detergent, even wool in clothes, food etc. You may have to change soap to hypoallergenic bath wash (soap free) and keep moisturizing. Please Google eczema in babies to know how to handle it |
