It doesn't make it false, but it's not in force yet. For the IHS, your colleagues probably renewed prior to when the free visa extension was announced: the announcement covered visas that expired from March. The overall waiver's still under review and hasn't been effected, only the free visa extension + IHS has been effected so until it's effected, it can't be relied on.

I can only speak on what I know and can assume that based on the screenshot, your friend might have been processed as already working for the NHS to enable him qualify for the visa extension and exception for NHS staff hence, the expedition of the updated visa vignette which I doubt. If yet-to-resume and overseas NHS staff are regarded as existing staff of NHS without having resumed at the office, then it makes sense.

Anyway, I hope it's an honest mistake or erroneous report else, this will further dent Nigerian's image and credibility.

Government don't collect tuition from federal universities in Nigeria. It is the various institutions that charge service fees. The government pays all university lecturers and provision of equipment without recourse to any of the paid fees. A private school or foreign institutions must break even and make profit to survive. The students provide all these monies.

Thank God for the Internet, at least one can update themselves with up to date materials, during my time at Esut, we had nothing like that, even some of the handouts are not even clear to read.No investment on the part of our govt

Nigerian government can stop this braindrain by making our medical degree unattractive to the west. They can incorporate some aspect of traditional medicine into our medical school curriculum, that way the west won't value it.

Envy or hate for Doctor? Why? Because they feed me? You can make a comment explaining things without coming off as someone who has a mental issue. We are talking one side you are talking envy and hate.

If you know basic travel requirements you will know that you need VISA’s which are issued outside the destination country to travel. There is lots of trafficking going on in the world now. These sets of dumbos cannot leave the country illegally like thieves in the night and, then turn back tomorrow to start crying out that they need help. Then people like you will come on NL and be bullying Nigerians to rescue them. This is not the UK government but an agency. Same type of agencies that arrange travel documents for house girls in Arab countries?
