Hi everyone!

Please I have the following questions:

1)My international passport will expire May 2021. Considering the fact that I'm applying for a two year programme, do I need to get another passport or this current one will do?

2) I have some money in treasury bills that will mature in August. Will the 28 days start counting from August when the funds will be back in my account?

3) Is it true that I must operate a current account to use the form A?

Thank you.

1. No you don't except the validity is less than 6 months.

2. The count will start from when the money is in your account in August.

3 . For GTBank, yes. Not sure about other banks.

Does the sponsorship cover the dependents? If No, then (in my opinion) the student should get visa first and then apply for the dependents..
This is because since the company will be applying for the student seperately, it would be advisable to secure the visa first and then apply for the dependents.
But if yes, no problem, all can apply at the same time.

Thanks for your response
And yes, the sponsorship covers the dependent.

Is the £3,000 deposit the 50%tuition fee??

adeniyy01:
. This can be useful too, I emailed my school to knw what's up.

Advise please

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delayed reply. I have answered your questions below for you, some of which cannot yet be confirmed:

*Please can I proceed to pay deposit of my tuition fee? Is there any update concerning the issuing of CAS for Nigeria students for September intake?

Ans We would advise you to pay your deposit as soon as possible – we will then be able to proceed with the CAS process. We are still finalising plans with regards to issuing CAS given the COVID-19 situation but will keep you updated.

* Is there any update concerning accommodation: that's, Do I need to pay for accommodation for the 14days self isolation quoted by UK government?

Ans.We do not know if you will need to quarantine for 14 days in September – things are changing very quickly in the UK. We will obviously follow government guidance and should this still be in place in September we will do all we can to support students with quarantine.

* After paying the £3000 deposit what is next for me to get CAS?

Ans. Once your deposit is paid we will send over further information about accommodation and proceed with the CAS process. You will need to submit a Genuine intention form and submit financial documents – further information as I say will be sent over to you once you have made your deposit.

* Can my wife apply for visa with me (optional)? What do I need to do?

Ans.As you are a postgraduate student you are able to bring your dependants over with you -please have a read through this guidance: https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members

* Is this correct account details to Pay to .. (kindly find the attached file) –

Ans. the attachment has not come through but bank details can be found here: https://www1.chester.ac.uk/international/fees-scholarships-and-finance/how-pay

* Is there any new update for September intake as per resumption and one on one class on campus?

Ans. We will be offering a blended approach to learning in September – this will be a mix of online and face to face sessions, so there won’t be large lectures, these will be online however we still will be delivering seminars/tutorials face to face, but rest assured you will still receive the same high quality teaching. If you aren’t able to travel in September due to restrictions in Nigeria then we will be flexible and allow you to join whenever it is possible to do so.

* if the border is not open for Nigeria students for September intake , can I deter my admission to January after paying the deposit? Also, do my course have January intake (Msc Management). This is to avoid online class from Nigeria.

Ans.You are able to defer your offer unitl the next intake, for MSc Management there is a January intake so you are more than welcome to defer, please just email applyinternational@chester.ac.uk. You do however still have plenty of time to make a decision. Your deposit is fully refundable as long as you request a refund prior to receiving a CAS from us. You can also transfer your deposit over to the January intake.

* Kindly help me to check my offer, do I still have any condition to meet up with apart from £3000 deposit?

Ans.Good news! The only condition remaining is the deposit payment!

Hope this helps!

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.

Best wishes,

Holly

Hello guys I need your help. I tried confirming booking the iom test via the Iink sent to me after my booking but the link keeps saying I have an old registration. The problem is that I have never registered before. I've tried mailing and calling but no response. Has anyone gone through a similar experience?

Hi everyone, please I got an offer in Salford university (MSc Managing Innovation and Information Technology, the course is accredited). But I want to change to MSc Cyber security in the same university but I discovered the cyber security is not an accredited course. Please can I go ahead with it or would there be a danger in the future ? I'm scared. Though I intend to further for PHD in the UK or another country after my course completion. Please help

pls university of Bradford wrote on my admission letter that I would need to have paid 50% of total tuition fee at enrollment and the rest in installment.
my question is if i have just 30% at the point enrollment, would i be allowed to enroll?
Do people get sent back to their country on this?

Thanks for your response as its going to help me take decisions.

Policies defer from university to university. I am told that if you breach the terms, the University reports to the home office. On the other hand some school may not even disturb you. I advice you follow your terms with the school and respect the agreement

The University have stated 50% at enrollment, should you want it reduced to 30% then it should be the University that you should be taking that up with. It is better to defer and save up to meet up with your financial obligations because that 30% is already a waving red flag to the school.

If you can not even afford to pay 50% is an indication that you don't have the money to meet the financial requirement to start with.

How will you convince the embassy that you can afford to study in the UK if you are unable to deposit 50% school fees?

No. I have filled all information on Gov.uk website remaining to pay before I will be redirected to tlscontact website. I want to know if it's okay paying for visa and IHS pending when TLScontact starts receiving new application.

Hi,

No, schools won't allow you to enroll if their policy is 50% total tuition paid no matter how much story you tell and how much you beg. Mind you, most international office gives a report to the UKVI after enrollment detailing students who have enrolled and those who didn't. At that point, your staying in the UK is at your risk and will be classified illegal since you didn't report and enroll into school thereby breaching immigration laws.

Please think thoroughly on this, if funds aren't available, defer and save more. It's better
All the best

Most Universities may loose their Tier 4 license , therefore they take things like this seriously. Apart from enrolling, attendance is strictly monitored in most schools, if your attendance reduces and you start missing lectures, the tier 4 or international team will notify you and perhaps request a reason, if it continues, they will remind you again about your attendance. If they don't hear from you, they'll report it to the home office and remove the wahala from themselves.

Some schools even request international students to come physically with their documents from time to time (even after enrollment). Attendance is a big deal when you start studying
