I said like 3 times that I don’t want to drop anybody in the midfield but you are still asking me why I want to drop someone.

I said if someone has to be rested it should be Matic. He is the most dispensable because he is the least talented of the 3 and the drop off between him and his replacements is the smallest.
Compare the gap between Matic and McTom/Fred to the gap between Pogba and McTom/Fred and between Bruno and Mata.

Matic is more dispensable than Pogba and Bruno. If you want to debate that further you are on your own.

Bruno is the only indispensable player in that setup, Before the break, we were already dominating games with mctominay, Fred and Fernandes, though Pogba is way ahead of both fred and mctominay in the team.

In the early stage against Aston villa, Matic was bypassed so many times because of the energy in their midfield and on another day, a team would capitalize on that and score goals.

The likes of Wardprowse and hojberg would overrun matic tomorrow. And we can’t take chances against someone like ings. We need Fred’s energy in that match. But to partner pogba na my fear.

Southampton always give us headache but we always find a way to beat them. I really hope these boys don’t mess up tomorrow. We deserve that spot.

If we want Energy over Brain and good use of the ball,... Lingard and Fred should start.

I don't know the problem you guys have with Matic, from day 1, he is slow ( just like Carrick and Busquet)

We keep complaining about matic ,

I know for sure Ole is watching replay of all the matches ,
The same Sheffield we beat 3 zero with matic for field .. na this Sheffield wan kill Chelsea yesterday

Your brain and good use of the ball will be useless if as slow as you are, you are overcrowded and denied the little time and space to do your thing.

There was a time Matic was dispossessed in a dangerous position during the last match and if not for luck we would’ve conceived.

For most of the first 20-30 mins we were denied space and prevented from relaxing into our usual rhythm and playing our style.

I think Pogba’s long range passes and Rashford’s speed will unlock So’ton if they press up the pitch. We have to exploit the spaces they’ll leave behind. Olé has to find a solution.

And if they come to OT to park bus, all the merrier for us. Matic’s skills will come very handy.

The same Matic controlled our midfield well at Anfield against the best midfeld runners in EPL...... he played so well against Man City ( best brain in Midfield )and even scored also won the MOTM...

They should go and check the results of games Pogba and Fred played together as midfeld pair before bringing suggestions...

If Matic was fresh I dont think he’ll have any problems if the opposition tries to crowd him. Fred is worse. He gets dispossessed even when he’s fresh.

Whatever plan or tactic we use tomorrow everyone should just be on their toes. Defense, midfield and attack.

So’ton have to be more worried about us scoring them than of us worrying about them getting past De Gea.

I am skeptical about Matic because we know what happens after he's had a run of games... But I'll trust the team regardless. I expect to see McTom at some point in the game if not from the start, then as sub for Matic. We can't afford to miss this opportunity to climb up.

The way they schedule fixtures in this England is just stupid.

We will play on Monday, Thursday, Sunday.
Chelsea on Saturday, Tuesday, Sunday.

More time to rest and prepare for the FA Cup for them.


I dont know why the Villa game last week was moved to Thursday. We dey play on Thursday and Sundays normally before. Yet they still moved the Southampton game to tomorrow.
