Sad to learn of Oghenekaro Etebo's dad's passing. My heart goes out to him and the family.

First it was Osimhen, now Etebo. It is well.

Gerard as klopp successor ?

Because of your love for Liverpool you prefer to go back to your days of tears abi grin

Continue

Assuming you are a Liverpool fan, you would know that there are plans in place for Gerrard to take over when Klopp leaves..

Same way Barca want Xavi to take over..
FYI, Gerrard and Klopp extended their contracts with Ranger and Liverpool respectively almost at the same time..and their current contracts will expire almost at the same time..

Which team get more experience?

How many of these Chelsea players don play competitive football week in week out before, all competitions
Now fatigue don catch up with those guys Chelsea fans dey complain

Yes Lampard get fault, na still young manager

My own issue be say Chelsea fans dey abuse Lampard because him dey play Rüdiger and co, my own na say if he no play these guys who make he come play cos na the only option wey he get?
I sure say when Chelsea dey win for beginning of season some fans think say dem go compete for the league, now yawa don gas, fatigue don set it, dem come dey para no play this person, no play that person when no other means dey available
benji93:
Man, enter who him head? I no be Chelsea fan. The guy whose comment my post was a reply to argued that Lampard cannot be blamed for this loss, citing that the team he's had for most of the season isn't. And he mentioned that Man U has Pogba e.t.c and is struggling to break into the top 4. My point was that some of these good players he claims Man U has were injured for an extended period of time. And even in that case, Ole was getting most of the blame for the mediocre results. Meanwhile what do you mean by na youth Chelsea play this season? Na only them? Which team is more youthful Man U or Chelsea? So Lampard does deserve some blame. The team was terrible.

Championship is really hotting up the competition is that tight.

One of the biggest games WBA will play will be against Fulham next week. So it will be Tega against Seyi. Tega is showing dominance he has gone from bench warmer to first midfielder on the team sheet. It's taken time but my initial projections are now becoming apparent.

The Championship is intensely competitive anybody can beat anybody at any time. And all those automatic promotion spots can be lost.

Leeds play Swansea and that will not be easy. Both teams have everything to play for and both are footballing sides.

I think that Swansea might just shade it with a 2-1 win.

That's not exactly true.

That's the emotions of fans not the calculated management decision of the board and directors.

It's a consideration that will be entirely hinged upon perfomance and achievement by Gerard for now he is not in the discussion.

Meanwhile Klopp is here to stay for some time. He has brought in wholescale change to Liverpool from the academy to the first team.

He has even rid the club of the issues of institutional racism although I give more credit for that to Alex.

But the training approach has changed with a new philosophy that can be seen from the U10's all the way to the first team.

Klopp is no longer just a manager but almost an institution just like Wenger was to Arsenal.

Finally, he is very nice, fair and down to earth God fearing and compassionate guy.

Italian-born Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey got on the scoresheet on his debut for Glasgow Rangers in a 2-1 win against Hamilton Academical in a pre-season friendly at the Training Center on Friday.

The brand new acquisition was among three summer signings given a run-out by manager Steven Gerrard, the others being Ianis Hagi and Jon McLaughlin.

Ronan Hughes put the Accies ahead before Bassey restored parity with a powerful header after an excellent delivery from Ryan Kent at minute 43.

Signed from Leicester City, Bassey has admitted that he grew up idolising Real Madrid icon Marcelo and gave his thoughts on Bayern Munich youngster Alphonso Davies.

"I watched Marcelo at Real when I was growing up but football has changed a lot in recent years," Bassey told the Scottish Sun.

"Alphonso Davies is someone who was a winger but now plays left-back and he has put in some stunning performances."

Bassey went on to reveal that he started his career as a striker and also played as a left winger, before he was converted to a left-back by the Leicester City youth team coaches.

"I always played striker when I was younger and then moved to left wing.

"I started going further back because at Leicester there was a need for a left-back and sometimes you need to adapt to your environment.

"I’ve had to learn throughout my career defence-wise whether it’s heading or whatever.

"The modern full-back is different to what it was ten or 15 years ago — you need quality going forward, but at the same time you are a defender first and have to stop those crosses and get tight to your man and win headers," Bassey added.

Aged 20, Bassey wore the number 3 jersey in the friendly against Hamilton Academical

Racism in England

Wilfred Zaha will be in action for Crystal Palace against Aston Villa in less than an hour from now.

This below is what he woke up to ahead of the game today.

Pic key:

1. The message he got.

2. The other pic messages that followed.

3. Same as 2.

4. The handle/acct of the guy that sent the racist message.

How dare he relegate Tammy to the same level you placed Osimhen some years back? If Lampard doesn't hear it from you, I go vex for you o grin

First of all I don't have any power to relegate anybody, All I can do is make deductions from observations.

Wolfsburg sent Osimhen back to the youth academy not me, Wolfsburg made the decision that he wasn't good enough AT THAT TIME.

So has Tega been sent to the academy, has Tega been benched, is he no longer starting, why is Chelsea offering Tega contract extension, who is the highest goal scorer in Chelsea with 14 EPL goals?

Can you substantiate your claim in the bold and or who reported it to you.

And explained how Tega had been placed on the same level that Victor was on some years back please.

Watching Everton getting a comprehensive football lesson in on the deck technical football by Wolves.

Everton are struggling playing kick and rush because they can't put 3/4 passes together.

Moise Keane is moi moi this is not Seria A small boy is totally out of his depth.

Ooh yeah a goal bullets shot from the left by Jota it seems.

Iwobi is not finding it easy either, Everton are not the kind of team that suits him IMO.

Oh it's 3 - 0 to Wolves

You mean racially abused right? I really didn't read much comments on the bashings Tammy got as I didn't see the need to. Chelsea fans especially Nigerians were predictably gonna make him trend for the wrong reason. I know he will get trolled due to the result.
But if some bunch of idiots used the opportunity yesterday to racially abuse the lad, then that is just sick. Very sick infact.
