Some of you are the reason Abia state is in this condition. It is not true. Portharcourt road is a state road that runs from Express junction traversing through Aba. It is not the same PORT HARCOURT-Okigwe-Enugu road. They are different roads.

The one the OP is showing here is PORT HARCOURT road which is inside Aba and it is a state road

No law mandates State Governors to repair Federal Road. The Governors turns a blind eye since it isn't "their responsibility".

Truth is that there is no Federal presence in that corridor. Maybe because they gave APC 5% of the total votes.

Peter Obi repaired the FG Onitsha-Enugu express from headbridge to Umunya, a small town not too far from the city of Onitsha.
Obiano did same along same road from Amawbia through Awka and Amansea.

Reason they repaired those portions was because residents of both cities use that road daily and it is a major artery in both cities. The SG can't continue to see the punishment by the FG of their residents.

What stops the Abia SG from repairing that road from just before Aba and stopping after the city knowing fully well that residents of the city make use of the road daily?
Leave the FG out of this and face the incompetent governors Abia had been cursed with since 1999 and the people voting them in on every occasion.

When a road directly links two states that's when you call it federal road. The federal road that passes Aba is the Enugu-PH express road, that's a good example of a federal road. Get informed. This is what Abia govt has been using to deceive ignorant Abians.

where are the Citizens living in that community, can they not come together in charity and fix their own roads?

he didn't have to wait for FG's intervention but u have to note that Aks and Rivers allocation are way higher than what Abia state receives monthly.

I'm sure this road is one of the roads that will be sorted with the World Bank load secured recently by the state.

The only federal road in Abia state is Enugu-PH road, ABA-Owerri road and ABA-Ikot Ekpene road. This PORT HARCOURT road shown here is different from Enugu-PH express road.

That is a federal A3 road that pass through Aba connects Umuahia, all d way to Okigwi imo state before moving to enugu
