Let's look at it from a financial perspective. De Gea is going to be 30 years old by November. GK prime is usually between 28 and 34, so he has about 4 more years of solid performances. I don't think Henderson is currently better than De Gea.

Also we have about 6 very young GK prospects such as Nathan Bishop and Matej Kovar. If Chelsea can pay at least 50M pounds for Henderson we should sell him provided we invest it in other areas of the team.

I doubt either Rashford or Martial will be comfortable on the bench, so their performance is expected to be topnotch.

I really cannot overemphasize how important our game against Southampton is. Not only is it important that we win in order to boost our top 3 chances, it is also important because winning this game will show that the team has stepped up another level mentally, physically and tactically.

Last season, one of the reasons we didn’t qualify for UCL was because the players always choked when it mattered most. Any time Chelsea lost and we were supposed to capitalize, we couldn’t because the players couldn’t find the needed mental strength to take that next step. The players let the pressure of getting a top four place get to them. I really hope that is not the case tomorrow.

If we are able to beat Southampton convincingly tomorrow, I will be convinced that this team with the addition of a bit more quality can challenge for trophies.

Southampton are no pushover but if everybody is on their A game tomorrow, we will defeat them easily.

I predict 4-0 Man Utd win.
