Many are yet to explore the possibility of GCam. I dedicate this Thread for all who would like to show their GCam photos and also share knowledge on GCam installation and Configuration files.



What is Gcam? Google Camera is a camera application developed by Google for Android. It is popularly abbreviated to Gcam. It is the default camera app on Googel Pixel smartphones, which have had a good run in the photography department in the last few years. Naturally, Android smartphone owners looking for better photo capture on their phones turned to installing extracted and tweaked versions of the Gcam app.

You are good to go... Most GCam versions shows as "Camera", versions like Tiger Shows as TrCamera

Stop it na. I was also in the same situation the first time I used Gcam. I was expecting to see an app called 'Gcam' or 'Google Cam/Camera'. But I saw two camera icons instead. It's expected for a newbie

You guys are wicked. Hv been hearing Gcam for a while but anytime I hear it my head goes to Gstring n think it is a phone accessory like earpiece for sound, Gcam for camera, until I met this post sha.

I had to spend like almost an hour to get myself acquainted with it. And I realise that not all the Gcam mods work with every phone. Google pixels, Realme, Nokia, Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung are the few lucky ones.

Others hv to goan download Camera2 probe to check if their API and DPI is up to the minimum requirements of the latest version of Gcam mod. And most importantly your "Hardware Support level" must meet the standard too - LEVEL_3 & FULL are qualified for a Gcam apk.

while LIMITED & LEGACY na to go admire the Gcam night mode sight online without it working on your own phone.

In summary, it is complicated, it is beautiful n it is heavy.
And thank you for letting me learn sth new today. Neva knew anything G in front can mean sth good too. G-boi, G-string, G-entanglement. G -awd no go shame us.

Each mod got its own settings and what works for one device wouldn't work for another.

Example - burial mod rear cam shots are good but horrible with front cam whereas tigr mod is awesome for front cam but back camera needs to be tweaked (pic comes out a lil oversaturated with original settings)

*Above example is based off the results of different gcam mods from different devs on my device o. Remember this before you start attacking anybody.

Any idea on the correct gcam for Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I tried installing from gcamerator but it wasn't the right version, wasn't that clear

Go to xiaomi compilation thread for Gcam ports made for your device.
Either your download file got corrupt or you downloaded the wrong file.
