Is it not funny and bad that the average Nigerian student in public tertiary schools go through their programs in an environment that is under funded, unruly and severely harsh only to be ushered into a system that serves them peanuts and half-breads compared to what the children of our leaders are getting abroad and coming back here to enjoy better opportunities and privileges here. The coronavirus pandemic has really proven where the Nigerian students is placed in the list of government considerations in doing everything possible to move our national development forward and you begin to wonder if the youths and the Nigerian students are no longer important to our government in national development. Even the academic union bodies that are supposed to agitate for things to be done the proper way immediately and as soon as possible to immediately push the lives of this ones forward instead of remaining in the house till God knows when or better still losing the interest of continuing in school due to their frustration are busy showing the greed, curruption, laziness, selfishness and hypocrisy they have always been known for in the face of what they represent. It's clear that public tertiary students here in Nigeria are often the victim of Injustices and curruption of both the governments and the Academic Staff Union of University. At the end of having studied for 4 or 5 years in this harsh and deregulated conditions, these are the ones who are compensated with N-power N30,000 as government's show of support. 8 Likes

As a student, you should be important to yourself and to your parents who pay your fees. And if you read your book, study and actually learn you would not have to rely on npower. 5 Likes |

And they told u that those that applied for n-power are not hard working, studios or didn't learn anything? And u refuse to acknowledge the present destruction of the education sector which the govt touted as the key. Students are Legitimate Nigerians and they deserve to move forward in the face of this pandemic instead of wasting a whole year for nothing or most of them will lose interest and become the next greedy dogs. 7 Likes |

budaatum: Do you think many people that applied for npower really wish to? Circumstances is the reason why they applied for it.. Did you know how many graduates out there without any tangible work, can anyone just become graduate without reading, studying and actually learn? 10 Likes |

robinso01:Yes, many people can and have become graduates without reading, studying and actually learning. We see them on here asking for someone to write their final thesis for them or screwing a lecturer for grades. Many do not show any knowledge of what their degree is in nor do they reason like graduates. The option for such people will be npower. |

budaatum: Well, you might be right. Just because you are privileged to have a good work as a graduate, doesn't mean other graduates registering for npower doesn't studied or learned. Don't just speak from your angle only. 6 Likes 1 Share |

robinso01:I am not priviledged. I just studied hard and learned, mostly without even parental assistance, and would call myself uneducated if my education cannot provide my daily bread. That after all, is the purpose of an education, to ensure I do not starve nor beg. Do note that I am not of the opinion that npower means not studying. Sometimes, we do need assistance getting by. But we must aim to eventually stand on our own two feet instead of blaming others for our empty plates and bellys. And it starts from getting up and falling a few times until two feet standing is mastered. 2 Likes |

budaatum: A graduate applying for npower means he's trying to stand on his own two feet, and not being lazy, moreover, some graduates still have another work that brings in some money, and also to applied for npower as another source of income. 2 Likes 1 Share |
