July mamas and porters, keep dropping it hot hot, we are coming too! Pls I have two serious questions bothering me oh

1). Wen I had my first child, I was given a cut dat was badly stitched. I remember my usual rant here dat year and how mamas came to my rescue with beautiful advices and tips. D site took a very long time to heal and even after it healed it made my VJ smaller and sex more painful. Issue now is I'm expecting a bigger baby dis time around (according to scan) and I'm scared of having another cut and I've not had intimacy in about 5mnths now

*How can I prevent myself from tearing or having a cut?
*Can repairs be done for d previous cut I had?

2). How should one dispose off d placenta asides letting d hospital handle it?

I seriously don't know how to avoid tear o
For my 1st I was given a cut and baby gave little tears too, but I was neatly stitched and it healed fast. But for my 2nd I wasn't cut and baby tore me badly. It took longer to heal. So I'll say giving a clean cut is better than letting baby tear u.

But for both cases I'll say I wasn't properly guided on when to push when it was time. And I wasn't lubricated as well. So I'll say if the person handling your delivery guides you properly and you're well lubricated you will most likely not tear. But IMO it's better to be cut when the entrance is too tight than let baby tear u.

The Hosp handled no.2 but some people bury it. That's if you have space for that.

It is too bad that we don't answer roll call... D importance of this roll call is check on everyone of us and know that we are doing good and moving together... Pls pls mamas try and come and answer roll call it is very very important. It is only few mamas from team December that are active on this thread ..... Make una no fall my hands ooo

On the other hand my energy level is high now ooo I dey rock this pregnancy no be small oo am drinking enough water now but I still eat a little.. If I try to eat big next thing na vomit oo. My bump is showing very well now . Time to take our first TT injection if u have not taken d shot inform ur doctor on ur next appointment.

If you never register for antenatal this is d time to do that so you will be checked and monitored oo we want healthy babies ooo... We need to be taking our drugs regularly no skipping ooo, drink enough water and eat fruits and vegetables for your blood levels oo.

I know some of us are showing already biko enjoy d privileges it is not easy to carry belle

Those with toddlers abeg try and get some rest no matter how d make d house busy all d time ( speaking from experience oo)
Let's drop our EDD and baby gender if u have checked..

Good afternoon Jan for supernatural delivery mamas. Hope you all are doing ok? We should be in our 15,14,13,12th weeks already...has morning sickness fully passed? Hope we have all registered for antenatal or at least doing so this week? I don’t remember when the TT injections are supposed to start so please if you are a ftm register not later than 12 weeks so you both can be fully monitored..I took all my 5TT shots in my first pregnancy but I’ve been told I’d be getting a booster shot in this pregnancy too, maybe because the last one is over 2yrs old.
I felt my baby kick for the first time last week and I got emotional ...it was fluttery like butterflies inside my tummy but it felt good. Can’t wait for the visible kicks to start so my son can see them too. I also can’t wait to do a gender scan (although I have a feeling it’s a girl cos I heard it’s girls that usually disrupt their mothers hormones this much), I’d find out later this week
I’ve begun to regain myself, no more nausea/headaches etc _{and my horniness is out of this world}

Thank you for checking up on us. I registered for antenatal last week. Morning sickness is still there but so much better than the earlier stage. I get severe back and hips pain sometimes but I guess it is part of the journey. Patiently waiting to feel my baby kicks and have decided I want to be surprised by the sex at birth. So I guess I’m Team Green.

I was induced for my last 2 births when measurements showed the fetuses were big. My sugar tests came out OK so no GD. I didn't have to wait till edd. Both went perfectly well.

Imagine that they still weighed 4.3kg and 4.6kg respectively before edd.

Plsoo. Don't rule out cs. Induction could go wrong or right, having mum and baby at the end is the deal.

What was their weights at birth cos I no dey too believe scan weight. Thank you

Please discuss number one with the doctors. You can't risk having just anyone stitch it again.

For number two, the easiest way it's to throw it in a pit toilet if you know any. Otherwise, ask your husband to dig a kinda deep hole and bury it if you have the space.

Tear usually occurs if you push before 10cm mark is reach.
Ask them to give you an episiotomy instead of the baby tearing you. It's usually neater.
Pẹ̀lẹ́.

Just try not to push before 10cm.
Watch a lot of birthing videos and practice proper way to push
You can do this!
You'll be surprised you may not get any single tear.

Yes you can, the hospital pharmacist advised that once I take the Fansidar I should wait till 24hrs b4 resuming the pregnacare!

I was induced for my first baby, the baby was big and I was cut badly. Took almost two months before it healed. Coupled with the fact that I went back for it to be stitched the second time. It was hell!
My second baby came with ease (at home) with the help of my sister in love who's a matron. Before my EDD, she asked me to be doing kegel exercise (don't know if I got the spelling correctly) anytime I want to pee, I hold it a little, then release. I hold and release again for about 5-6 seconds till I'm done. With that, I was exercising my v.j. Baby came with no tears at all.

Sex also helps too, if you can endure it in your last month. About the placenta stuff, your DH is in the best position to handle the placenta. Let's be careful pls, some of these hospital attendants can be very wicked. Some do sell baby placenta or use it for rituals. May God almighty protect us and our loved ones.

I am in my 12th week, I can't explain how I feel most times but it's not palatable at all. Always pouring spit non stop, nai tire me pass. TT injection starts from 4months that's from about 16th week. I don't know how I'll cope till January. God dey

Pele, by the end of the 13th week into week 14 you should begin to feel better As that’d be start of your second trimester. Noted about the TT injection, thanks

Thank goodness your feeling better, by the time you’re fully in second trimester you’d even forget you’re pregnant. The kicking is going on already but as a ftm you wouldn’t really know what you’re expected to feel until the kicks get much stronger. Noted, I’m putting you down as team green (but I salute your courage grin

Lucky you the spit has stopped. It could be so uncomfortable. Me I am still battling with it. I pray it stopped soon and not to be like my previous pregnancy that I stopped spitting in the labour room cry

Cappo, present oh. My night shenanegans is definitely fading...I feel stronger and I am controlling nausea/vomitting with the ginger my mum loaded in my kitchen and the Metoclopramide given to me in the hospital. I registered for antenatal 3 days ago and got my first TT shot too. I told hubby that I felt a fluttery movement in my tummy a few days ago and he did not believe as he thinks its too early! So happy you are affirming it grin

By the way, I am with you on the gender curiosity...during my scan 3 days ago I was asking the sonographer if he could not just TRY and do the amebo for me grin

I am jealousing your oza room energy oh. It's the last thing on my mind these days as I am still taking much effort to even keep my food down.

I pray for strength and grace for everyone of you mamas kiss

Abeg find secrete place/ space to bury placenta.... It's not something to joke with oooo.

Ur scan result is good... Ur baby is already head down.. Placenta is posterior ( ur baby kicks will be kung fu) water is adequate.. Other things are nothing to worry about

Pardon my asking. Thought those weights were their scan weights. It then mean that they were weighing much bigger during scan session. I am curious as a FTM that my baby's scan weight is far too much for the EGA. I have been told to prepare for a big baby but I am rebuffing it as scans aren't accurate but estimated. Thank you

Greetings everyone...
Please can hemorrhoids just shook out on its own. I can guess mine is not a case of constipation cos I have regular & soft bowel movements. Woke up yesterday morning with pain in the a.n.u.s and felt a protrusion. Tried pushing it in, the thing no gree enter. I went to hospital this morning and was given anusol but I haven't gotten any relieve. In fact it's as if the pain increased. Please mamas that have had hemorrhoids how did you handle it for fast relief. I can't walk properly again but can sit comfortably.

Apart from scans, the doctor can measure with a tape. Their scan weight was around 4kgish. Towards the end of pregnancy the foetus weight increases much so I was given the induction option.
. I think most times the real birth weight is bigger than the scan weight though some ppls own are lesser. You never can tell.

It was our experience with my first that prompted subsequent inductions.

1). Wen I had my first child, I was given a cut dat was badly stitched. I remember my usual rant here dat year and how mamas came to my rescue with beautiful advices and tips. D site took a very long time to heal and even after it healed it made my VJ smaller and sex more painful. Issue now is I'm expecting a bigger baby dis time around (according to scan) and I'm scared of having another cut and I've not had intimacy in about 5mnths now

*How can I prevent myself from tearing or having a cut?
*Can repairs be done for d previous cut I had?

2). How should one dispose off d placenta asides letting d hospital handle it?

U can be doing kegel exercise .. Just google it. The person handling ur delivery is another factor.... U can just mange and have sex during d ninth month... Cooperation from u during delivery is another factor ooo... But if d midwife sees that d v.j is tight for baby to pass through d will give u a cut and stitch up. Don't worry too much about this.. nature has a way of doing things.

U can bury d placenta if u have space .... I dey leave mine for hospital.. Light and darkness has nothing in common.. We are children of d light.. Ihe onye ma Mara ya ma ihe onye n'amaya agayi amaya

Don't Gamble With Your Life...
Am so sad typing diz, i lost a co-worker. She was told by her doctor dat she can't deliver her baby through d vaginal but she didn't listen or she was thinking of d money involved in having a CS, she ran 2 a local mid-wife and in d course of trying 2 push out a big baby she gave up d ghost, d last time i saw her she wasn't looking healthy, she looks like someone whose pcv was very low. I am so coz baby was 2 b her first kid.
We should always listen 2 our doctors, her death was avoidable, when it comes 2 life we shouldn't joke with it, even if it means 2 borrow, 2morrow is making her a week she left mother earth...
