The wives of Policemen at Abbakyari Police /Special Force Barracks in Abuja, on Tuesday, staged a heavy protest over the death of some of their husbands, IGBERE TV reports.

The Protesters were spotted with play cards written "Our Husbands Are Dying, Oga IG Do Something......"

As at the time of filing this report, the Osuma rock/Abuja to kaduna Road are completely blocked by the protesters in support with the police mobile men attached to the barracks.

Corrupt policemen + Corrupt government = No pity from Nigerians.

The plight of nigeria police force....is nothing but a monumental eyesore.

I feel no sympathy for these folks...
They stopped me some weeks back in heavy gridlock ....that I've spent close to 3 hours in ...and they said I'm out when there is curfew , like if not traffic I should have been home ...how is that my fault ...the foolish idiots collected 20 k from me for breaking curfew rule even in traffic ..some motorists paid as high as 50 k ....
We Nigerians need to do our protest to the FG to stop paying the police force , the money they are exploiting from us is enough for their upkeep ....

Travelling to PH by land from ABJ, we met close to 100 police check points, from G/lada to PH.
Each collected minimum N100 from us at EACH stop.
Learnt they were collecting N1000 during the interstate lockdown.

Too much wicked and impropriety in this country, the foundation of the country is faulty and the people's mindset is not right, there is a need for formating and overhauling

Because they don't stage protest doesn't mean these women are not warranted to stage this protest. STOP THAT MENTALITY.
This will also be an eye opener for Government to provide them with the necessities.

I would have expected this from the wives of military men deployed to the north to fight insurgency and not the wives of police men that notorious for bribe taking
