First of all,matic has been intense this post covid footie,but we are still trying to find that right balance in midfield..against teams that would sit and and defend,matic as the base behind pogba and Bruno is the best,but should we meet a very fluid and mobile midfield like yesterday,we were always going to be overrun, the sad thing is that neither tom nor Fred has the intelligence to play that DM role..hence my stance once again about getting Ruben neves,he's the perfect candidate for that DM role.can shield the defense,has that positioning and a very good passing range.

I dunno maybe I watched a different game yesterday,but lindelof was the better of our 2 centre backs yesterday,made so many good blocks and interceptions..just that the high press of s'ton was too much and these our boys are not really press resistant.. As a matter of fact, the blame goes round for that goal.

First of all, Maguire marking AWB automatically left Lindelof with three opponents to mark, check the replay.

Secondly, Lindelof was already gassed out compared to that weight lifter that just came off the bench with so much energy.. on a normal day, that guy can bully Lindelof, not to now mention a tired Lindelof.

The guy laid his whole weight on Lindelof, basically making that one dysfunctional in defending anything.

Thirdly, De Gea. Not an agenda against him, but I feel he should do more in corners. That has been a weakness for him since 2011 maybe.

A major weakness all his life, he's too melancholic in the six yard box when it comes to aerial balls and crosses it makes me curse him atimes... and it doesn't look like he will ever improve in that area seeing he's 29 now.

It’s surprising how long United have had defensive issues and tried to fix it but keep coming up short. Bailly, Lindelof, Maguire.. all gotten to fix that issue.

Luke Shaw has actually stepped up his game.. the problem now is we have to deal with Dalot at left-back for at least the next game.

Martial and Co need to more clinical, that’s the difference between great teams and good teams.. missed too many clear-cut chances yesterday.

We’re still going to finish in 3rd place. Watch this space.

Matic and Pogba combo will come up short against teams that are very energetic and not afraid to attack. The best they can do is to surrender the middle completely, be the 5th defenders and play for counters. This way we are most likely to get a win.

When you don't know anything about defending in football.....its better you stick to celebrating goals scored only.

When you have a partner like Lindelof and De gea, who are both shit at set-piece....you will end up doing much work at defending set-piece....
