Let me drop my piece about the influence of music. Yes, music influences a person unconsciously, subconsciously and consciously. I grew up listening to Eminem a lot. If you listen to EMinem you'll know that most of his lyrics are violence related, seeking revenge and misogynistic. He also hates his mom Debbie Mathers because of her addiction to drugs, how she gave him and his siblings medicine by claiming they were sick (hypochondriac) Well, some of his lyrics speak to me almost directly with songs like Stan, Beautiful, Stronger Than I Was, Beautiful Pain, Guts over fear, etc, as i listen to them when i feel depressed and feel like giving up and somehow i draw strength from it. But the crux of the matter is that, subconsciously, i started hating women too,not letting go of things and i was having issues with my mom too so his lyrics seemed to fuel them. Music affects you, take it or leave it And, just like the guy above is trying to say, it really is a grey area. There is no guarantee that if you renounce, law of Karma won' catch up with you because even the bible says "Do not be deceived, God is not to be mocked. For whatsoever a man sows, so shall he reap". There are exceptions because of grace. Just like the Viking guy that collected my phone, if i find myself in an advantaged position to f.uck him up, i certainly will, i hope not though. God please help me. Some girls feel that after living rough lives, damaging their wombs, taking Postinor-2 or having multiple abortions, doing assorted charms and jujus for protection and to trap men that it won't come back to haunt them. Some actually get married and don't have children and they start acting like God is at fault. Like i said, there are exceptions because of grace that is why some people think they can actually live a rough life, damage their lungs and kidney with smoking and xcessive alcohol and damage their skins with bleaching creams and when the aftereffects start to show, they start running from one family member or the other to help foot the medical bill or running from church to church. That said, you can renounce and nemesis can still catch up with you for the lives you've taken or grace can find you. Peace. MODIFIED Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God made He man (Genesis 9:6) So you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for blood pollutes the land and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it. (Numbers 35:33) Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. (Genesis 4:11) But,you notice that most of these scriptures were in the era of the law, not Grace. But the scripture from Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived, for God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever à man sows, so shall he reap" was made in the era of grace. According to the op saynotocultism and enthronedbyGod1, they went through a lot of spiritual cleansing and nightmares for what they did, they may still be going through them. Shedding of blood is not a child's play. In a verse in the OT, God said that he that shed blood, his punishment will be up to the 3rd (or 4th) generation (I'm not sure). Cultist or not. Do not shed blood, please, biko, ma binu, I'm on my knees, it is a very severe and grave offence before God and man. I'm an imperfect man. May God guide us all. Bless. 13 Likes |

Passionate888:yes i will avenge with all my might. my rule will still stand in my case too. if i have killed to avenge my brothers death, then i will be killed too sooner or later. these things are real facts. doing that then coming to beg for forgiveness and all that shit is why this thread pisses me off. we need to learn how to take responsibility for our actions. this thread has been so modified in a way that it gives these incoming cultist the feeling that they can commit very grievous crimes and then denounce and take a new leave and everything will be by gone. that is not how to saynotocultism. if you guys want to say no to cultism, follow the footsteps of the op. expose your own cult, expose how you initiate, expose how people died, expose how u or ur friends killed etc etc. if you plan to fine solace, please create another thread for that . the only guy that came here to really expose cultism so others wont tow the same path is op. 5 Likes |

Its just that some ex here you are attacking have actually done what you said in 3. They have casted and demystified what seemed so precious to them. So lets take it easy. I cant remember someone here saying "I have killed but still say no to cultism". Have a nice day. |

I listen to Eminem, 2Pac, still I’m not violent or misogynistic, I play GTA but I’ve never committed larceny, I love horror movies but I have never taken a soul, I read crime/mystery books still it has never influenced any decision I have ever taken in this life. My point is, if after listening to a song then a fellow decide to act on how he/she feels after that, then the person has always wanted to do what he/she has done prior to listening to the said music. If listening to a song makes you want to do something you won’t do on a normal circumstances, it’s best you stay away from such music 2 Likes |

The aim of this thread is still #saynotocultism not #saynotomusic, &the impression that listening to cult groups' gyrations influences harboring thoughts of becoming a member, is like attributing same consequences to reading the exposé of cult groups' OT on this thread which is shear hypocrisy because, in all honesty, listening to cult gyrations (adopted from varieties of music genres&modified with their jargon), is another method of demystifying cultism, which in turn is undoubtedly one of the effective tools employed on this thread to support it's aim of #saynotocultism, so in order to discontinue further derailing arguments concerning that, a plethora of cult gyrations, 'jolly', 'jojo', 'sally', 'melly', 'phlaming', 'tts', whatever term pertains to the respective cult groups, can be viewed on YouTube by searching through the names of various cult groups that I listed here in one of my earlier posts&I can even offer explanations on how to download them in various formats at greatly reduced sizes from YouTube, but just as public usage of the various cult groups' OT demystified here is discouraged, likewise same applies to the gyrations, nevertheless you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink. bigbananai: bigbananai: Points duly noted and not disputed as a result of considering the reality, cultism and any other vices has short and long term, physical and spiritual consequences irrespective of your active status, one of which the op @saynotocultism recounted here when he visited a state&was spotted by rival cult members, implying rival cult members (including your so called brothers) are indifferent toward your self-acclaimed renunciation, so obviously, the message motive is to #saynotocultism entirely, that is, refrain from joining at the onset rather than encouraging joining and committing atrocities, only to come online to show deceptive remorse, but more importantly, it isn't enough to just type #saynotocultism to atone for the atrocities committed, your self-acclaimed renunciation should be evident in severing all ties to cultism especially your cult group's OT, to the extent of explicitly demystifying it here, following the pattern below, exactly the way the op, @saynotocultism&few other persons did in order to support the aim of this thread, otherwise in all sincerity, deep down you still exhibit allegiance to your cult group by upholding the so called OT sacred, as if you want to use it withdraw money from the bank or take it to the grave to meet and appease your cult group's deity, which spites the aim of this thread #saynotocultism. I'm a big fan of Em, in fact as a teenager, I knew most of his songs, but according to u, these songs never made me hate women, I love my ma and my sisters, I also love the girls..listening to Eminem makes me emotional because his style is different and very hard.. Tyriq:I can't blame Em for it and I've fixed the ish with my ma. Even em said "I never knew I,d affect this kid; I never knew I'll get him to hit this bitch..." When you are predisposed to do something, music can spur you to actually do it. It's like what Covid 19 does to old people and those with underlying health problem, so does music. It doesn't necessarily affect you for merely listening to it; and as it doesn't affect you, there are those it does. 1 Like |

5inchdick:Violent Music Lyrics Increase Aggressive Thoughts and Feelings, According to New Study Even humorous violent songs increase hostile feelings Read the journal article Exposure to Violent Media (PDF, 234KB) WASHINGTON - Songs with violent lyrics increase aggression related thoughts and emotions and this effect is directly related to the violence in the lyrics, according to a new study published by the American Psychological Association (APA). The findings, appearing in the May issue of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, contradicts popular notions of positive catharsis or venting effects of listening to angry, violent music on violent thoughts and feelings. In a series of five experiments involving over 500 college students, researchers from Iowa State University and the Texas Department of Human Services examined the effects of seven violent songs by seven artists and eight nonviolent songs by seven artists. The students listened to the songs and were given various psychological tasks to measure aggressive thoughts and feelings. One such task involved participants classifying words that can have both aggressive and nonaggressive meanings, such as rock and stick. To control for factors not related to the content of the lyrics, the violent and nonviolent songs were sung by the same artists and were in the same musical style in three of the experiments. In the two other experiments, the researchers tested the arousal properties of the songs to make sure the violent-lyric effects were not due to differences in arousal. Also, individual personality differences related to hostility were assessed and controlled. The study also included songs with humorous lyrics to see how humor interacted with violent song lyrics and aggressive thoughts. Results of the five experiments show that violent songs led to more aggressive interpretations of ambiguously aggressive words, increased the relative speed with which people read aggressive vs. nonaggressive words, and increased the proportion of word fragments (such as h_t) that were filled in to make aggressive words (such as hit). The violent songs increased feelings of hostility without provocation or threat, according to the authors, and this effect was not the result of differences in musical style, specific performing artist or arousal properties of the songs. Even the humorous violent songs increased aggressive thoughts. The violent-song increases in aggressive thoughts and feelings have implications for real world violence, according to lead researcher Craig A. Anderson, Ph.D. of Iowa State University. "Aggressive thoughts can influence perceptions of ongoing social interactions, coloring them with an aggressive tint. Such aggression-biased interpretations can, in turn, instigate a more aggressive response -verbal or physical - than would have been emitted in a nonbiased state, thus provoking an aggressive escalatory spiral of antisocial exchanges," said Dr. Anderson. The study investigated precursors to aggression rather than aggressive behavior itself. More research is needed, say the authors, to identify the short-term and long-term effects of violent song lyrics. Repeated exposure to violent lyrics may contribute to the development of an aggressive personality and could indirectly create a more hostile social environment, although the authors say it is possible that the effects of violent songs may last only a fairly short time. "One major conclusion from this and other research on violent entertainment media is that content matters," said Dr. Anderson. "This message is important for all consumers, but especially for parents of children and adolescents." Article: "Exposure to Violent Media: The Effects of Songs With Violent Lyrics on Aggressive Thoughts and Feelings," Craig A. Anderson and Nicholas L.
